I think the Kipling shop is permanently closed. Pretty sure loccitane and MB still there.
Not easy for me to get there these days due to mobility problems.

Same old stuff different day lol ( being polite ) they’re things aren’t great Kipling wise are they? … who is the designer for Kipling i often wonder lol … Not inspiring at all .. exclusive or not it’s bland these days unfortunately imho

Before Brexit I bought a lot at stupidly low prices from Vente Prive in Europe. I still have unused a yellow leather purse £11. Cabin bag on wheels £22 . Pencil / brush pouches £5. A fab back pack £35 and umpteen colour bags all under £20. Then Brexit happened and they stopped exporting.

I did much the same. Have the leather Creativity purses in both yellow and purple. Have used both quite a bit. Also 3 of the small suitcases, all regularly used, they fit lovely in the overhead luggage racks on trains. They hold up very well to the various abuses we put them through.
In the loft there is a massive, lilac, wheeled suitcase bought for £28. Never been used, don’t know if it will ever be used. But it was £28, so it had to be had.
I do quite like the TSV and the convertible back pack/cross body one, in the khaki colour. But have so far resisted.
I'd feel I'd been overcharged if I paid £20 on the market. these material bags look so cheap
During the 10am show she used the term "gender friendly" to describe a khaki green backpack. Gender friendly? WTAF is gender friendly these days?
Maybe it means the opposite of what many of us here are because we think the whole gender thing is b*ll*cks!

AGREE. The ridiculous vocabulary we are supposed to use now to prevent offending everyone from a bloke in a frock to the cat who lives 3 doors up, is like living on some dystopian universe.

I was brought up to be well mannered, so I'll never deliberately offend, but I will only use two genders he and she - because ... if you have a baby scan what is the first question asked ? Is it a boy or girl ? End of argument. It's never " am I having a trans ? "

Love that! And completely agree.
Sadly, though, there are also some children whose gender isn't definitive at birth.
Not belittling anyone but this is a very rare occurrence. I think in my whole life I have only met two or three people that would fit that category. One was at school in the 60's. A kids we just got on with it. So did this person. Live and let live was the mantra of the day.
I've never met a DSD person and I spent quite a few years in the NHS. They are incredibly rare.
It used to be left to the parents to choose what sex they wanted a DSD baby to be and surgery would be carried out as per their wishes.
However, they can test for chromosomes so can carry out surgery to match the sex the baby is. Parents who choose surgery to make their child seem to be the opposite sex are incredibly selfish and cause a lot of problems for that child when they go through puberty. But then there's always the puberty blocker route - that their child will need to take for life if they want to carry on as that sex.
The Cass Review is pretty clear that puberty blockers have not been tested long enough or well enough to use on children so have been banned by the NHS.
Several athletes in women's sport have male chromosomes but present as women. Caster Semenya is one of the best know. He has undescended testicles but no female reproductive organs. Kids do get on with it. I'm sure the teachers here would agree. However, when puberty hits the changes between the sexes becomes obvious. Live and let live might have worked in the past but not today. In sport alone the temptation to present as female when you are actually male not only wins prizes but prize money. That should be going to women and girls.

Yes I was at college with a lady who was born with both but her gender was female predominantly… hermaphrodite … she was lovely and we asked her questions as she welcomed this and after while we just forgot
she was Sue and a member of our class … she has a life of feeling rejected I felt so awful for her … we were all 16/ 17 … she had a female tone of voice but a jaw that was a shape of a man.. sadly she had some awful relationships .. I’d love to see her again for a catch up
