I think Keeley in particular should go on a long break,maybe a cruise to plumb the depths of the ocean for more "Ribena Povonica" or whatever it is that turns us age ravaged 40 plusses into porcelain skinned wrinkle free lovelies...she could take Jilly Jones with her to make something fantastic with a crayfish and a lump of sea weed!!!:clapping:

I agree with a lot of what has been said on here. I worked with a dermatologist years ago-when I was youung and wrinle free and never thought I would have any lol! At that time I was cleansing with an over the counter skin wash (can't remember what-all I remember was, it was cheap!) and I was at that time using I think it was an olay one that was in a small pump and addressed 7 signs of aging or something? I discussed this with the specialist. He said I had good skin for my age (mid thirties) a small amount of sun damage (I never sunbathed but was out in my car all day long for my job, and didn't think to use sun block.) He told me to just carry on with whatever moisturiser that suited my skin, and just to add a sun blcok. He said nothing else made any difference to the skin-not even drinking water (aprt from if someone was seriously dehydrated.) I do believe him, but really have enjoyed using LE especially the cleanse and polish and the daily skin repair. I don't think they will keep me miraculously wrinkle free but my skin is compfortable with my current regime and I am told I look young for 50. When I get to the bottom of my current LE stash though I will be looking for something else, as I have lost interest in the range since the lies over the change in c&p and ownership. My DD and I both tried the Aldi moisturiser and both of us developed sore dry patches after a few weeks.

I checked through my records the other day and found that over the past 5 years I have spent around £10,000 at QVC. A sum I am hugely embarassed about. 99.9% of that has gone on skincare

I've got to say I gasped when I read that amount but then I worked it out...

£10,000 over 5 years = £2,000 a year which = £166.66 per month which = roughly £41.66 a week.

£41.66 a week on QVC is a TSV, basically. Although I'm not spending at the moment (money is tight) there have definitely been phases when I've "treated" myself to a few TSVs in a month.

It shocked me too :blush:. How easily it mounts up!! It seems much less horrendous when you break it down per week though. I could have had 10k worth of face fixing surgery and at least I'd have some improvement on my face to show for it....:grin:

Even more embarassing than the amount of wasted dosh is that fact that my friendly parcel delivery woman doesn't say who it is when she presses the buzzer anymore. She just says 'hi it's me' cos we now know each other so well. At least she gets paid per parcel delivered so while my bank account is gasping hers has benefited!!

Must not turn on QVC on Sat for the Liz Earle TSV cos I might get suckered....
