Kara Tritton

Whatever happened to her> she was one of my favourites and she came across quite shy and a bit reserved quite opposite some others. I know she was there from the start or almost. I was surprised when she left a few years ago. there has been no mention of her ever since. I have not seen her on tv since. She seemed a lovely lady and was a great, unassuming presenter.

Think she went to Scotland. Always thought she was a cut above QVC, she was very intellectual and did children's voice overs. She probably had had enough.
There was that other nice girl, forgotten her name, who had a baby and was never seen again, an actress.

Yes I remember Kara tritton was very intelligent, after being there from the begining she just slipped very quitely away but Im surprised since she was there from start she is never mentioned. I also remember the other Kara, baker but she was the opposite of Kara Tritton.

I really liked Sarah Griffiths and would watch her regardless of what she was presenting, very pleasant speaking voice and no screeching hard sell. I also miss Claudia, I know she sometimes got a hard time on here but again she seems so classy compared with some of the ones we have these days.

Also, whatever happened to that other longstanding presenter, I think her name was JULIA ROBERTS, - since moving to the new premises her appearances have been rarer than a hen's tooth ! or is she going the way of the jewellery, only on now and again (except of course when there is a Butler & Wilson tsv to present !)

If memory serves me well, I think her son was special needs and she left to spend more time with him. On the other hand, I could be completely wrong.

Kara was doing voice overs and programs for Nickelodeon, did all the voices for some series or other. I didn't know Oliver had special needs but I did know Claire's eldest boy Thomas is a Down's syndrome child.

I always liked Kara , but never regarded her as being a shy and introverted lady.

I would agree with that - remember her riding a kiddies tricyle round the studio when they used to do toys. she was fun!

Katy John, I think, Ruthmay. I seem to recall that she sang a christmas carol that contained the line "a robin hopped from leaf to leaf, searching for food far and wide!" Don't know why I remember that, but I do!

Ooh Sarah Griffiths. Whatever happened to her? And does anyone remember Gina Bryan / Suzanne Evett and a black woman called Jamoke? She didn't last long. Also they had an older woman for a short time....Hilary someone.

Sarah griffiths left to have a baby, but you can still hear her on voice overs for Q promos. The Gatineau one is her, and the l'occitane... "Zees ees ze man who grows zee lavender" etc etc. anythibg with a french accent is her. I reckon she'll be back when the kid is out of the way.

Tritton was the sole voice behind a kiddies prog called Blues Clues. She held some sort of record for the number of characters voiced by a single artist.. Talented lady. She was always rolled out to do dolls, where she creeped a lot of people out, and also Treasures of the Tek Sing.

Kara Tritton used to make the dolls talk! She would do different voices for them. Some of them were ridiculous!

Sarah g is the voice of many automated telephone messages for all the big companies....I've never really believed that its her voice doing the french accent on the QVc ad.....

Remember Pauline Dolls? They were a German brand, all very frou-frou dressed in pink lace with bonnets and stuff. Then one day Pauline herself turned up. She had a face like a smacked arse and answered Kara T by barking out "Ja!" or "Nein!". It was like having Eva Braun on the set. She never came back.

Kara T had a big send off when she went. Last time we discussed her on here someone posted some video of it - didn't they take her picture of the wall?. Loved Kara, loathed the dolls.I am sure she used to present some of the Thomas Kinkaid stuff too.
