And DaveI'll be honest, I'd take 1000 Vicki's back if it meant a permanent exit for both Lyndsay & Jess.

I must have missed this I had no idea she was coming back!!! Oh nooooooAnd Dave
Oh God it just keeps getting worse, what I don't understand is why when money is obviously tight do they have 2 people presenting most of the time, why can't Toby and Dave just present on there own as Toby does sometimes?I must have missed this I had no idea she was coming back!!! Oh noooooo
If Dave presented on his own, they'd sell nothing. Everyone would either have turned off, or fallen asleep.Oh God it just keeps getting worse, what I don't understand is why when money is obviously tight do they have 2 people presenting most of the time, why can't Toby and Dave just present on there own as Toby does sometimes?
Are they selling much now though? If Dave presented on his own, they'd sell nothing. Everyone would either have turned off, or fallen asleep.
Doesn't seem so.Are they selling much now though?
I'd vote to get rid of Jess 'Wow' Foley and Droning Troth.I'll be honest, I'd take 1000 Vicki's back if it meant a permanent exit for both Lyndsay & Jess.
I thought she had gone before the redundancies, as she was on another Channel with her own Jewellery Collection.
There’s been at least 3 rounds of redundancies but Vicki wasn’t part of any of them (but was also made redundant separately following someone returning from maternity). The first round saw Katie Ho and Nick Davies be made redundant following GC reducing hours (as well as Faye Hewitt depart although that may have been competency related), then there was a major round at the start of Covid with Milly Griffiths, Chloe Lewis, Sarah Wait, Laura Fleming, Rod Jinks, Victoria Norris etc going following the closure of the outlet and obviously the final large round following the reduction in hours on Gemporia. They also made separate redundancies on JM when they eliminated the evening shift and it’s unclear as to whether the short lived late presenters on lifestyle were made redundant or simply on short term contracts. It wasn't the 'big', last, round of redundancies. I think it was the one before.
From memory, I think there was 3 'rounds' of redundancies. 2 smaller ones and the bigger round, shortly before Wagstaffe was booted.

Oh how I wish they had competency related redundancies. As far as I can see they would nearly all go. Excluding Jeff who seems to know his stuff. Has anyone noticed they are now interfering with Jeff’s shows to their detriment. He has said a number of times that he’s not allowed to show some things and I have requested 2 items in the same show and neither was shown. Just about the only show worth watching and they are running it into the ground. It’s not really worth staying up for anymore. Are they TRYING to fail for some reason. There’s been at least 3 rounds of redundancies but Vicki wasn’t part of any of them (but was also made redundant separately following someone returning from maternity). She is a total drama Queen. Follow her on I G and jeez she does goon never known anyone have so many crisisesI didn’t realise that Laura Fleming aka Squeaky Beaky was a Gemporia presenter. That explains why her presentation skills n QVC are the way they are.
That’s my impression too. They make the whole buying thing very difficult. Firstly either you are prepared to pay almost double or try your luck at seeing it in presentation. It’s even practically impossible to find out when it will be shown. Jeff’s hours were so handy in that you could ask for the items you want. Now it seems this is severely restricted. TJC are guilty of putting up prices of things they have in stock for ages too. I don’t understand it. The opposite of what retailers have always done. As far as I can see Gems is completely geared to impulse buys of cheap items.it seems to me likely that that must be where they make their profits.I think the management (Jake) is just genuinely clueless as to how to run a business.
AndyW mentioned last week about a pendant that he bought for, from memory, £26. He bought it 2 years ago.
The item is still on the website for, from memory, £80 - and it's excluded from discount codes.
It's like they don't actually want to sell it and are content with keeping it in stock for even longer.
Surely if you've had something in stock for that long, you'd encourage discount codes to shift the ****** thing - especially when the thing has sold in the past for a third of the price!
Which channel was this On pleaseJust moments ago - about 18:18 18/11/2024 and the presenter is showing an 'email' that she got from her bank which seems to be recommending to her to invest in gold!! That has to be the biggest LIE. How many rules/laws would a bank be breaking to be recommending its customers to speculatively invest in precious metals. I saw red! Why do they let these rogues spout these untruths!!?
