Just taken the plunge!!

After many weeks of following the forums have decided to take the plunge and join. I've recently come out as an QVC compulsive, and feel it's now the right time to contribute. Always liked QVC but feel it's now becoming a bit tired, and it seems like those at the top don't have any new ideas. Really like all the beauty on QVC but am increasingly disappointed with the jewellery, which has become very predictable. My main gripe is presenters with little common sense, and those who describe jewellery as having personality and presence... very strange!!!

I feel the same Bluebell, although I have ordered the TSV as it was on easy pay and I wanted to try the HIAJ spf20. I keep tuning in now and again to see if anything takes my fancy but I haven't been tempted.

When I first saw Smashbox all those years ago I was completely blown away (!), I thought it was absolutely fantastic!!! All the beauty shows now seem a bit dull, either I've bought too much over the years, or it's just all got a bit samey. Sad really.

Thanks Huggles. No, I haven't tried any other jewellery channels. I've learnt that not all QVC jewellery is that good quality, though it's taken me a while to work that one out. My local jeweller has put me right a few times, unfortunately. I really like Lola Rose, though it is very pricey. Gold is OK, though where has all the 18 carat stuff gone? QVC seems to be pushing veronese relentlessly and not much else.

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome. I've a feeling QVC addiction and forum addiction could be one of the same thing, so I'll have to be careful! I'm glad I've finally had the courage to come out, as despite all the frustrations that come with watching QVC, I haveto admit I really do like watching the U.K's number one shopping channel, and my make-up collection has improved 1000% since I started watching. Not so sure about my jewellery collection as I have made some seriously dodgy purchases. One gripe about QVC is the way in which they push,push,push, certain brands.... how many strings of pearls do we actually need? I am gonna have so much fun on here !!!

Welcome to the group, a place where no shopping channel is safe, although we do praise them up from time to time - gotta keep them on their toes ! Also where we can share experiences of various items. That can be very handy at times. And we also have a laugh with each other too :1:
