Genuinely 'quirky' people do not boast that they are. In fact they rarely know they are, and its left to other people to describe them as such. People like Jill want to appear 'different' but can't rely on others to say so, therefore have to promote it themselves.

I doubt if Helena Bonham Carter goes around saying "I'm quirky" - you only have to look at the woman to see that she is, and that is the difference. Jill on the other hand............................
