Boy was Jackie stuck for words and they tried and tried to get a feed.
No preparation Jackie was struggling like mad, in the end she just had to introduce a pre record of another item for the remainder of the hour.

I had a soft spot for Paul Lavers who never took it seriously, and Steve Whatley who was really good at explaining everything.

I wonder if those old presenters would have become as big a pain if they had stayed. Maybe to keep up with modern media you have to leave your brains and integrity at the door on your way in
