Humidifiers

It's getting late and i'm getting tired so sorry if this doesn't make any sense.

I have been watching Paul on Price-Drop this evening.

Earlier he was selling a Humidifier, promoting it to humidify your dry rooms and ok supposedly make them cooler.
Now he is selling Dehumidifiers, promoting it to dry out your damp rooms.

Am I loosing the plot because i'm tired but it doesn't add up to me ...

Well some people will have houses/ rooms which are damp, or some which are quite dry. You would never need both in the same house, but they both have their own uses. I'm sure Argos sell them both in their catalogues
