Please make sure you are not buying a lab-created diamond you are wasting your money unfortunately if they don't tell you then you don't know I think TJC diamonds are mine diamonds. They have to tell you if they are lab on the telly but people have gone to jewellers and think they have a earth mined diamond and found out it's lab when sent for valuation, people are getting letters that have knowingly bought lab diamonds like of de beers saying saying Thank you for buying your Lab created diamond but sorry to say from now is your purchase depreciat in valueHi,
How can I find if the diamond is ethically sourced or created in lab
Although I don’t buy from TJC anymore I will say that they’re very upfront about their diamonds and always point out whether it’s lab grown or earth mined.Anyway the info is clearly displayed for the customer to choose. DeBeers are also very upfront that they’re selling lab grown also so it shouldn’t be any surprise at all. I would say to stick to reputable companies and do your own research first. They’re even selling them in Hatton Garden now. Please make sure you are not buying a lab-created diamond you are wasting your money unfortunately if they don't tell you then you don't know I think TJC diamonds are mine diamonds. If someone's wanting only a natural diamond (which is the only kind I'd be interested in if I were paying a lot of money), I hope they're asking for it to be clearly stated on their certification and receipt that it is a natural diamond. I'd also get it independently checked out, if possible. I can see how people might get a nasty shock in future if they've made assumptions about the stone in any piece they buy, and no doubt some companies will insist the buyer was clearly told it was lab-grown and that the item was sold as such.Although I don’t buy from TJC anymore I will say that they’re very upfront about their diamonds and always point out whether it’s lab grown or earth mined.Anyway the info is clearly displayed for the customer to choose. There's nothing wrong with people opting for a lab-grown if that's their informed choice, but there's potential here for the unscrupulous.
Thanks, Ostrichkeeper. Where there's an opportunity for a scam, there will always be someone quick off the mark! Inevitable, really.View attachment 30527I think it's started already lol.

Unrelated / related. I saw, this week, my first 'ever' advert on proper telly of lab-grown diamonds in jewellery.
