Me too, it was Players No. 6 if you were a bit skint, Embassy was one step up, and if you really wanted to show off, Consulate, the menthol ones that were supposed to make you feel as cool as a mountain spring! Sheila Hancock made a very funny record called ‘Just one more cigarette’
Remember those coloured ones? With good by the tip!!!

Has loads of 5 star reviews !!!! Twenty quid. Well, just before the pandemic I bought an identical one from St Albans Market - a tenner. Further evidence that QVC just buy them in from China at probably less than a fiver each, stick the name of Ruthless on it and its a licence to print money. Oh, the GULLIBLE !

I used to love the smell of Gauloises. I worked in the ‘City’ for many years when smoking was allowed in pubs & restaurants and there always seemed to be a French banker knocking back pastis & smoking these distinctive smelling cigarettes. Long lunches were taken for granted in the 1970’s &1980’s.

I may have packed up the weed decades ago, but I DID enjoy it - particularly after a meal and with a drink. Hubby never smoked so I resorted to going into the garden or a sneaky one in the bathroom with the window open. Sensibly he would say "those bloody things will kill you". What happens ? he died first of a heart attack !
