Is it on-trend (or even fashion forward) to have thunking great metal zips on bags at the moment? I'm thinking of Kipling, Kathy Van Zealand and today's Tignanello TSV. I think they cheapen the appearance - if only they had the same effect on the price!

Agreed Erics Mum, I hate zips.
Had it been a flap over bag I may have been tempted, the sight of zips is a big turn off for me.
 
I do own City April from Kipling which has brass bits. In my opinion very handy for smacking muggers etc, the metal gives a bit more weight to the swing.:54:

I was at Camden market a couple of weeks ago and they had bags there that were made out of one long zip.
