GemsTV return to Freeview

The presenters that have been with GensTV for years must be furious that James Russell gets to launch Freeview.

I would hope for the future of the channel they sack him at the earliest opportunity.

:mysmilie_61: Who knows it is very bizarre, I assume has something to do with Pam Aujla and former bid tv producer Thea Balich joining.

In my opinion the sooner they get rid of Pam Aujla the better.

It does seem as if they are using him a lot. I don't like it when he says crud-ish things. I once saw him presenting a ruby hour and he turned the ring to camera, and said "now for the money shot", which is totally inappropriate for a jewellery channel.

Also - if you're going to send a retort to the forum, any forum that is, surely you'd make sure it was 'typo-less', and correct!

They have had a lot of launches recently: Lily Allen and Aleisha Dixon, Gold N Ice - the charms. I would imagine that one of the established presenters would re-launch on Freeview so that viewers could see a regular face. Strange that they should choose this new James. They obviously rate him. I read, with interest, fran0808's post about James Russell. Sounds to me like he's not very liked at Gems either. I wonder what people at Ideal world or bid up - wherever he was from originally, thought of him.

My friend's daughter works at Gems as a floor manager. I may ask some probing questions next time I'm visiting! :mysmilie_17:

I am just apalled, Lynn or Angeline should be doing the Freeview shifts IMO, Thea has made a huge mistake bringing James Rusell to GemsTV with her.

This Lynn thats on now is sooo much better than the James guy. Really engaging really endearing and quite amusing! I'm not bemoaning the los of TJC in the way I have been the last two nights now...

It may sound like I am obsessed for which I apologise but the more I see of James Russell the more I think I am right, he is the worst presenter to EVER appear on GemsTV.

I am quite glad that TJC was dumped from the late Freeview slot and that gems TV filled in their place. If I had to choose between TJC or Gems I would choose Gems TV. I know a lot of people are not liking james russell, but hey its a good night tonight as we have the adorable Adina on:mysmilie_374: Lovely :mysmilie_374:
