* Brookite: doesn't sparkle no matter how much you facet and polish it, and with those infinite shades of grey it certainly doesn't stand out from the crowd. Recommended to buy for your young daughter as an investment piece, just in case she doesn't hate you enough when she turns 18.
* Robertsite: once found only in the East Midlands, but now common all over the South East of England. Is the hardest and most enduring stone in the QVC range. It's regal purple tones make it ideal for that "woman of a certain age" who knows what she wants, and is possibly still quite capable of getting it.
* Suttonite: cheap, tacky and a strange custardy yellow. Suitable only for children's dress-up or play.
* Franklinite: gaudy, with a silvery but greasy sheen. Best avoided by people with taste.
* Roweite: tastleless but certainly sparkly, people will KNOW that you're wearing this stone. Can take many different cuts and facets. Tends to outshine it's "sister" stones, so not one to mix and match with.
