So you're 100% convinced that what Gemporia or GC sell is the real thing. You say a lot about fake and false presenters and like pulling them apart but you believe what they sell is not from these cheap producers in China.
If they didn't want their products to seem dodgy why copy designs from cheap Chinese producers. I've been in business long enjoy to know if you want your items to stand out then don't copy others
That's not what I said, is it? I've often questioned the legitimacy of Troth's Jadeite because the Chinese certificates he shows on screen aren't worth the paper they're written on (particularly the 'certificates' for so-called 'Quartzite-Jade').
However, items like their Amber are genuine - though the treatments listed on the certificates are occasionally incorrect. Still, the stones themselves are authentic. We also know that Gemporia sources their Amber from Mariusz Gielo, who is well-known and respected in the industry (The NAJ and GIA have articles about Mariusz on their websites).
Even if they weren’t genuine, there are legal protections in place. If something you bought turns out to be different from what was advertised, you have the right to take legal action.
That said, just from looking at the photo you posted, it's clear the Amber is fake - most likely resin. In fact, the description doesn’t even claim it is Amber; it just throws in a bunch of random keywords (including 'pearl').
Genuine Amber is not perfectly clear - it contains air bubbles and sometimes inclusions, such as insects. The piece in your post has no inclusions or bubbles whatsoever.
Amber, Obsidian, and Jade are among the easiest and most commonly lab-created stones.
Finally, if you buy something from a Chinese seller and it turns out to be fake, good luck trying to sue them.
