The food that Samways is dishing up on the Ninja TSV is appalling. The enormous burgers look disgusting and I'm not even vegetarian 🤢 not to mention thst brioche/pineapple creation🤢...she shouldn't be allowed in a kitchen much less prepare this kind of rubbish🤦🏼‍♀️
Thick burgers are a no-no. The 'trifle' she made with raw rum poured over brioche was inedible as was the pineapple chunk dessert. The lamb looked OK.

We were given out the wrappers to grease our baking tins etc in our classes! I thought that was pretty disgusting especially as the teacher kept them folded up in a tin.
Rancid!!!!! I'm all for saving money but greasing your baking tins doesn't exactly cost a King's ransom anyway so saving old wrappers for the purpose, especially when not stored properly doesn't do it for me. I'd rather buy a batch of cakes from Aldi these days!

All true Merryone. I should write a book on "School in the 70's". I those days violence and bullying was carried out by the teachers. No one would believe it lol. If teachers carried on like today they'd be cancelled or jailed.

I was at school late 70s and 80s and it was called Home Economics then. I remember the first lesson being about how to wash up properly. Yes, really! I also remember the teacher Mrs Clements showing us how to make cheese scones and she had dirt under her fingernails so when the scones were handed round I politely declined but was virtually forced into having some.🤢 I'd been making scones at home for years so stuck to my Mum's recipe which didn't go down well at all, and I got marked down for that. They got us to cook the stupidest things though. Fruit salad was one thing, and in the middle of winter we had to make a salad.

I could not have put it better myself. Although when you were going through it you thought you were the only one!

Mine had to give me 10/10 for my pineapple upside down cake, it nearly killed her but it was perfection I must say. The previous week was Cornish pasties, the pastry cracked to heck, she scoffed as she passed, I blamed the weather as it was scorching but they tasted delicious, we had them for tea when I got home. My brother used to dive on my gingham covered basket :ROFLMAO:.

Goodness me those were the days. I used the cycle home with my basket on top of my front white plastic basket - that had my school bag in - and use one hand to hold it in situ. Never any problems.

Brought back memories thank you for them 👍😊

Chloe Everton is another one on my list of presenters that have me reaching for the off switch the minute I see her on a show. Apart from her voice, its the way she constantly looks at herself in the monitor that gets my goat!!
totally agree cannot abide her and the way she is always looking at herself in the monitor, surprised she hasn't been told about this as its continual and very off putting!!

OMG. Who the chuff had the bright idea of putting Gail Samways on with Chloe Everton????
I had to turn over after five minutes. Shouting, giggling and talking over each other like a couple of headache inducing, over excitable chipmunks.
Definitely got a headache now ,,,,,, 😟
That pair would give an aspirin a headache!!

Luckily I don’t think we had bully teachers. What I do remember though was our gym teacher Miss Bradley who always supervised us getting changed before/after gym & swimming. Sometimes her half-sister the English teacher popped in to have a chat with her.

It was only a few years ago (I was 60 !) chatting to my sister about school and she was shocked to realise I had no idea these 2 teachers were lesbians & partners 😱.

According to our school FB page a couple of ‘old girls’ are still in contact with them.

Yet we all seem a lot better off for it.

My first HE teacher used to bring her stockings in for us to hand wash. The second was much better and focused on the science and nutrition as well as the cooking.

We were all terrified of certain teachers, had a healthy respect for others. The new teachers that filtered in towards the end of my school days tried to be our friends but we had no respect for them. They had the students with the worst results. I think that's when it all started to go horribly wrong.

Chloe Everton bamging on about dresses which she would never wear in a month of Sundays & don't get me started on those awful ugly platform shoes & jeans trailing on the floor

The length of her jeans looked ridiculous and I couldn't figure out what kind of shoes were on her feet. The jumper looked nice, though.
