Yes well I think we are all agreed utter overpriced tat, QVC have reached into the bin for thiscwas stuff, but hey we know there are people who will buy it, more fool them.
Well she's definitely got some brass asking that sort of price! To be fair, I think the stuff has a quirkiness about it so I get that it's gonna have some appeal, but the prices are off the scale ridiculous. Junk jewellery at fine jewellery prices. It's clever marketing though a bit like the Pandora craze, and I've been there. I bought myself a lovely little bracelet in a Black Friday event some years ago. It had one little charm on it and I spent the next few months amassing extra charms and receiving charms as gifts until I ended up with a hideous looking piece of jewellery that I seldom wear. It's been sat in my jewellery box for years. Less is definitely more. Things you can add to is a clever marketing ploy. I've learnt in my wisdom and old age that if I see something I like the look of I'll buy it and if it looks good as a simple bracelet or necklace it'll stay that way, and if I see a ready made piece with lots of detail then I'll buy it as is price permitting. Gilding the Lily is an expensive way to ruin a piece of jewellery!I watched 5 mins before deciding it was overpriced tatt. Had a look on the QVC website to see what the items are made of -:brass! £50 for a brass charm. But it's ok as there's no p and p to pay!!
Links of London are sorely missed by me to be honest. I bought a lot of their items as gifts over the years and they were always very much appreciated.I was given a Links of London Sweetie bracelet for a milestone birthday present from my work colleagues. They’d also included three charms that were so relevant to me. There was space for two more charms that my family bought for me. I think the solid silver charms were about £50 each. We were fortunate that there was a Links store in our local outlet centre.
The Fckl stuff IMO is way too expensive and a bit naff. Still where there’s muck there’s brass!
