Which doesn't ring true to me at all. If they were making those pies day in, day out, tasting as they go, they wouldn't be falling over themselves for more of the same on QVC. So, either they're doing it for effect, or the pies they present on air on QVC are an altogether more appetising prospect than the ones they produce on a daily basis and will be shipping to the customer!
Are they having a laugh at the price of those sweets. Don't think they mentioned the weight and nothing on the website, but they looked like 1/4 lb bags.
Bloomin' 'eck where are they coming from with these prices? Yesterday I went to my local Co-op and bought two big tubs of sweets, plus a couple of extra bags of chocolate as a thank you to the staff at the local hospital and the whole lot only cost £9. Going by the weight, I must have bought roughly ten times the amount of product that they're selling here for over £20. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
Don't forget the worst bit.Presenters such as Charlie fawning over said products. Slowly cutting into a pudding for example as if it's about to explode.Then the obligatory 'umm' 'ohhh' 'so good. .so good'.Always the best ever.I think I'd sooner visit a local farmers'market and buy this kind of thing .Much fresher, can see what I'm buying,cheaper and the money going back into the pockets of the supplier. Also,no stupid spiel to endure.
