Firefox Problems Help

I am with Virgin and got the offer of a free health check for laptop so took it up. Well now I cannot get Firefox to work, just writing on the left side of screen and pages won't load properly. Phoned Virgin and Indian lady fiddled with it for 40 + minutes and came back saying problems are with Firefox and it should be up in a few days. I am using IE and hate it, for start all my passwords saved on Firefox(can't remember half of them),too slow typing etc.

Will my Firefox start working please say yes or what else can I do?

Why did this only happen after the scan health check?

Use chrome or opera.
Uninstall FF and reinstall if you haven't already.

Thanks Vampyre. Got on to Virgin Health Check people who it seems I should have phoned and not the normal one. The guy fixed it for me, took him a good 30 minutes too. Bliss.
