Spinel is a very underrated gem which is always worth having for its fab colours, brilliance and clarirty, but I'm sickened to see GEMS usual hype over this one and the ridiculous prices for smallish cwts set into 9ct. No doubt it'll be flooding the website in a couple of months despite the 'rarity' and the mine being closed blah blah :YAWN: PC:

Me too! And these are PINK!!!!! - I've seen a couple of rings go - lovely colours and attractive designs too. What is impossible to tell is whether the price is what it should be or a bit inflated because it's new I know that red spinel is far more expensive than the other colours, but I don't know where this lovely deep rose colour comes on the price scale.

The new spinel is lovely but prices do seem a bit high, would love it as it is so pink but think I might wait till it is a little more afforable, did hear Derek say that there is a couple more shows next week then more available about March time (might be cheaper then, hopefully!)
