Quick question... I'm about to buy on eBay and I see that there is 30% cashback based on eBay revenue. Was the cashback used to be 40% until quite recently?

Yes it used to be 40% Calvin and they only give cashback on certain categories now as well so check that your purchase comes into one of these.
