Hey a new shaped yoghurt maker! The jar/tumbler looks better than the old one, I always worried why it went from clear plastic to cloudy, I wasn't convinced that the Easiyo jar/tumbler, whatever it's called, was healthy. I'll have a look at it but I'll be honest, it was a novelty that soon wore off, I didn't find that the yoghurt was as tasty or set as well as the presenters did.

I never said it didn't set, I said it didn't set as well as the presenters. Super your plastic tub you make it in will have changed from clear to opaque (not as clear) they all do, that's what they do, that's more my concern than it not setting properly, no one has ever told us the BPA rating for these plastic tubs, but if you're happy that's ok.

Sorry but I can't get excited about Easiyo. £20 for a few sachets of bacteria seems an awful lot to me. And then there's that pointy-faced woman who presents it, she looks like a tranny! Just buy live yog from the supermarket. There's one that comes in a big blue tub and is only about £1.35.

I bought shed loads of packets from Ideal World when they sold off their yogurt brand and it's always set making it in my easiyo maker and pot, though i don't leave it ti get too thick. I love the taste of coconut but hate the gritty texture of the desiccated bits, so if they do a smooth coconut flavour I'd be tempted. I'm not sure there was any need to have a go at SCW cos his yogurt sets :mysmilie_50:
As far as the plastic pots are concerned I wonder whether they've altered the composition, might be worth emailing Easiyo to ask if you're worried? Did you mean the clear pots turned cloudy with use? That's not been my experience and my pots and lunchtakers are over ten years old, and they get washed in the dishwasher.

Akimbo just stir in some coconut milk. It will taste delicious. Around where I live there are loads of Asian and African shops that sell all manner of coconut products. I'm with you on the dessicated bit. When I was a child I tried a Bounty bar and hated it!

I bought my Easiyo yogurt maker long before I realsed they were on QVC (probably 10 years earlier) - at Lakeland. All my jars have been that slightly cloudy plastic from the start. That's been true of jars I've bought more recently (bog standard translucent with the red lids, to go with my white with red trim yogurt maker). I'm working my way through the last of the packs I bought from QVC, and I doubt I'll buy any more. I'd rather choose the flavours myself than have some I dislike in a mixed pack, and if I want several of the same flavour there are some smaller quantity boxed sets (at Lakeland, again). Best for individual sachets in a wide variety of flavours is probably Holland & Barratt. Great value sets would be at Lakeland. These days the only time I would consider buying Easiyo from QVC would be if it was on free or miniscule P&P.

I like Easiyo, but I do go off it for periods of time.

I must say I'm liking the new shaped maker & pots.

Funnily enough I could eat a bounty and selflessly try to clean up the coconut centres left at the end of a box of chocolates (it's my civic duty obviously). I love coconut milk but never made the connection with flavouring yogurt Doh!

I started making Easiyo when my daughter was little (now 19) because she wouldn't eat yogurt with bits of fruit in it and those tiny smooth pots they produce for toddlers seemed expensive and not particularly nice.

I buy odd packets from Lakeland or the Range when they're on offer.

My pots are about 2 years old and they have started going cloudy/opaque when I used the toffee yoghurt which is brown. They were fine whilst I used the white Greek yoghurt. I mainly wash by hand so I will try the dishwasher a bit more
