My estate has a giveaway of unwanted items every Friday (Freebie Friday) for residents.

Today I acquired a Hansells yogurt maker and about 40 sachets to go with it. They are 4 1/2 years out of date, but the worst that will happen is that it may not set.

I've just started a batch of Greek style with real coconut.

These are all made in NZ, and funnily enough Easiyo comes from OZ. I wonder why they have to be shipped from so far away, is yogurt very popular down under?

I prefer the design of the Hansells machine as it uses a LnL style container which doesn't leak when you shake it.

I'm interested to see how it turns out tomorrow :)
I’m interested in how you get on with the out of date sachets too, as I have a few out of date Hansells sachets too 😁 They’re about two years out of date and I was about to throw them away. My yoghurt maker is Hansells too and I’ve only ever used their yogurt but I think they may have closed down so I’ll probably be using Easiyo in future. Good luck with it 🙂

It was perfectly OK, very thick, creamy and delicious, better than any Easiyo sachets I've used.

That’s great, thankyou 🙂 Really glad I didn’t throw those out of date sachets away. I agree, Hansells yogurt is creamy and delicious but I can’t compare with Easiyo as I’ve not tried it. I do think Hansells may have closed down though - they had a closing down sale a few months ago.

I think it will be fine.
