Can anyone explain to me why they can only deliver Thorntons on the UK mainland?

We have a Thorntons on the Isle of Man, so presumably they must be able to get their stock here OK. Additionally, I can order directly from the Thorntons website with no problem. So, what's QVC's excuse?

Probably because the Post Office can't fob the delivery off onto couriers!
