min - exactly like that - i don't know how they can double their weight. i read somewhere once that not all cats do the 'liquid' thing.

a dozy Jessie taken by DD ..looks drugged up to the eyeballs...no, not ready to be popped into her carrier!

That's a good picture Carol, I love pussycat's noses!

I always wanted a BMW for no other reason than the front grill looks like a cats nose. (in my dreams!)

yep. rule #1 - lock the flap! lol

Rule #1 works brilliantly for Alf but not for Harvey. Locked or not he will just go straight through!

When they were still quite little I bought one of those plastic cat baskets. It had a plastic mesh door and you could actually unclip the basket itself into a separate bottom and top. Never understood why you'd want to do that but you could.

Anyway put Harvey in said plastic basket after a reasonable short kerfuffle. Carried him to the hall. Bent down to put my shoes and the ruddy box exploded! Harvey off like a rocket. Somehow he had forced the plastic door. Thank god he hasn't been at the vets, in the car or out on my drive. He could have been lost or run over. The door was fine but the locks were still in place. He's just too big and too strong. I gave the basket to the vet in case of an emergency with a small cat lol.

Oh cripes that reminds me. Must order more of his happy pills to dose him up ahead of Monday.

I shall have to take another look at a Beamer or two now! What about a Jaguar? They purr like a pussy cat apparently.

tink - eekk!!! louis - and dylan and thomas before him have busted off a few doors in their time but not on the way to the vet fortunately. it was once after being neutered and the other times chasing another cat out.

i remember years ago having a reinforced cardboard type carrier. yeah right - lasted about 5 minutes ;)

I drool over the Jaguar XKR every time I see one but the fuel economy on it is bonkers. I could afford to buy one (an OLD one) but I couldn't afford to drive the thing.

Oh well. Nevermind eh?)

Happy pills from the vet = £9.70 for 10. I paid £8.45 from t'internet for 20 including postage and they arrived today. Mind you I've had a right old day of it. I nearly popped one myself about 3.30 )

I didn't take one but they calm yer furry man down. Xlykene I think they're called. With that and the Feliway I'm hoping for an easy "basket case" on Monday.

Honest to god it makes my heart race just thinking about it. He hasn't got a nasty bone in his body and no matter how scared he is he won't bite or scratch me. So it's more of a battle of wills than a battle required a full body suit of armour.

I just hate that it breaks the trust that I've worked so hard to build with him. Even if it is for a few hours. So the plan is to take him to the vet, come back and let him escape for a while and then for me to go to work. That way he will come back into the house because he will know I'm not there. By the time I get back from work he will probably have forgiven me.

The things we do!!
