He always names aspiring brands that have no relevance what so ever to the items he's selling in the middle of sentences, then goes on to continue "the sell" without mentioning the relevance of the name dropping, BIZARRE!
It's like selling a reliant robin & suddenly from nowhere shouting "BENTLEY, FERARRI, AUSTIN MARTIN" Well wierd!

It's called random brand association and it's a complete and utter CON.

Comparing 'Sen' slop to CLINIQUE, purleeeeez!

He says he goes to midnight mass at Christmas, I hope he asks God for forgivness for his decepitful & untrue sales tactics whilst he's there!

The other day he said he sees nobody at Christmas and stays in alone (this was when he was flogging a Wannabe Worry Angel, he shifted hundreds with his vile sob stories).

Yeh, he's just done that tale of woe to flog that maroon jumper with the Xmas tree on the front, along with the words "NEXT, THE CAST OF EASTENDERS, CORONATION STREET" lol x.

Just seen it, if someone bought me that for Xmas I'd be seriously disappointed! They make a house a home apparently

He is going on and on about a ruddy fruit bowl for £50 !

Walther Glas is sold in outlets and supermarkets like Karstadt in Germany, it is a glass product one would expect to see in Tesco. My brother lives in Germany (has done for 20 odd years as he is ex-forces, his wife is German) and he told me it's fine but nothing more than a mass produced product. A google.de search certainly backs this up.

They are NOT hand creations Peter.

I'm glad you mentioned this Wirral only the way he was going on about it was though it was a rare bowl and sorry Peter but that jumper looks waaaayy too big! Lol

Be fair: this is the man who pronounces Swarovski as "Saworfski"
Very true! It seems to physically pain him to say "Gold Plate" recently too after the recent upheld ASA complaint ruling on the matter.

But yet again he isn't saying plate, quote 'to get something like this and I need you to see the carat weight on this, nearly 1.5ct, it's solitaire, pear cut and it's GOLD'.

'It looks like we are not going to get anymore Tanzanite because Tiffany's themselves, as we were informed 4 weeks ago, don't have any of the high grade Tanzanite'. WTF!

Gold, Gold, Gold. Absolutely appalling spectacle.

Before or after they do another 3 months selling nothing but "AAAAAAAAAA grade" Tanzanite in practically every show?

Well Tiffany's won't have their version of AAAA tanzanite I suspect! I bought a 4ct main stone AAA tanzanite ring & it's a deep colour changing blue purple with red beams coming off it under spot lights. Even the trillion side stones that are ungraded are vibrant, clear & deeper than their AAAA offering! Mind you, mine isn't in gold overlay either lol!

There is apparently no such thing as AAAA Tanzanite. From lapigems.com (which James Russell often refers to) : - WHAT IS AAAA TANZANITE AND IS IT THE SAME AS AAA TANZANITE?

QUESTION : I was watching a local TV Shopping channel and they were talking about AAAA Tanzanite being the best. Is this the same as AAA Tanzanite?

ANSWER : This is recent marketing hype developed by that particular shopping channel to try to "jazz up" their stock. The top grade (the best 1%) of Tanzanite has traditionally been called AAA Tanzanite in the trade. AAAA is purely an attempt to differentiate Tanzanite sold on TV and hype it up. The truth of it is that any channel dealing in volume (as most do) cannot claim to be selling the very top grade of Tanzanite. Only 1% of Tanzanite is the top grade - it is very rare. It is certainly not available in the sort of quantities these channels like to portray as they sell 1000 items in 1 hour! Very top grade pieces are rare and difficult to get - we know, we are based at the source and speak to the miners on a daily basis.

The best way to think about it is - are these channels selling Kashmir Sapphire or Burmese Ruby at 1000 items an hour? These are also rare gems in the top grades and not easy to find. Be careful about buying into sales hype. Always make your Tanzanite purchase in an informed and sober manner to avoid being disappointed.

Yes I read that article too, apparently the gemolocical institute in the USA are trying to stop TV channels using AAAA. I bought mine from a shop on NY that has been there for over 30 years, says it all really x.

Pure shysters Nikki, and the laughable thing is Russell regularly quotes Lapigems (you know, when he reads from his clipboard) about the possibility of Tanzanite running out.

He dosen't mention the piece I highlighted though, funny that isn't it?

I also read that when people get these AAAA stones valued they turn out to be single A or at most AA! The trouble is when it was first discovered it was considered to be quite cheap like amethyst so the governance wasn't there. Now it is sought after because it's still cheaper than a sapphire equivalent it's incredibly hard to regain control of the sales descriptions.

Oh now he's comparing the investment of Tanzanite to Russian Alexandrite! I wondered when that old chestnut would crop up, it's one of JR's fav quotes.
