Since DG disappeared from the screen we`ve not had any really different jeans as we have in the past!!
All the shows are very samey and every time I look up the star ratings invariably they aren`t very good at all.
I`m loath to order anymore as the postage/returns could have bought me a pair from the dreaded high street!!
I have about 6 pairs bought over the past few years all costing around the £50 mark not basic jeans but my last 3 orders have all been returned !!.
Also do you think the model Jane would dress in the things she models on DG as she always looks like she has been poured into them ..yes others models do and could go up a size but when you reach a certain age better to dress accordingly JMPO

I now buy my jeans from M&S. They tend to gape a little round the waist as I am pear shaped but as I generally have tops that cover my waist it does not show. The prices are good and on the whole the quality is good.

Yes i`ve been looking on the M&S website and I`m planning to go try some on ..also on the Kaleidoscope web site but didn`t understand their sizing so won`t be ordering as it isn`t explained anywhere on the size charts which is the short lengths ...maybe its me whose the thicko lol

I can't understand why we have to put up with all this American **** when they can't be bothered to come over and try and sell it. Could it be that the names behind these brands have sold them on and are no longer involved? Personally, I'd like to see more British and European product. Clearly we're not Americans and have different tastes. Don't get me started on shark bite hems...

I had one pair of DG jeans and wasn't impressed.ive never worn them.

The last two pairs I got from Marks. At least you can try them on.

I think many of the designers are appearing less and less, not only the Americans.I know DG had some sort of surgery ,but should be well recovered by now .

I think it said something about surgery of a `personal nature` and admired her for speaking about it ..... I don`t know what made me think she had gone down the plastic surgery route for some reason ...no mention is ever made about her coming back now is it ? Just that she`s the `Queen of jeans` in the US

At least the new guest is pleasant and stylish. She looks really good in the clothes and how she wears them and gives good tips on styling this is in contrast to many of the so called stylists that frequent QVC.

QVC is originally American, so I think it's normal that we see a lot of American designers! I'm sure that if QVC could source the same stuff in Europe at the same or lower prices, they would do so.

DG is very much involved in her business and has been flogging her clothes on HSN in the US on a regular basis last year as well as this year and she has also made an appearance on QVC France for a TSV last year after she had vanished from UK screens, allegedly for medical reasons. I have no clue why she has not made any personal appearances in the UK????

I bought several pairs in the early years and loved them but after a while the sizing went to hell in a hand cart so I spent a fortune on postage both ways so stopped even watching the shows.

I buy a lot of stuff at M&S as it is the only biggish store near me and the range suits my workwear and shape. However lately I am having the devil of a job getting trousers or jeans to fit - not sure if it is them or my shape which has changed. The only thing is that you can try loads on before you buy and no postage.

I appreciate that DG has health problems but in the new trailer for her shows she looks terrible, not helped by that hair.

Is that Gemma who was a QVC buyer? Unfortunately that for me is the kiss of death as the buyers are where most of Q's problems stem from. If they didn't accept the China warehouse offerings we might get something we want to buy. Plus they can't be much good at negotiations when you consider their so called buying power results in overpriced goods.

Ali K has just stated that all the items are made in America I very much doubt this, I must look out a few pairs and check the labels.

I think that it is quite cheeky of qvc to have the likes of Diane Gillman and Laura Gellar (for example) in the adverts as it subliminally implies that they are going to be in England/on qvc-UK personally.

When we all know it's going to be Carla Laszlo or whoever.

I'm not that bothered if the Americans are there or not. If I were to shop for an Armani outfit I wouldn't expect the chap himself to be in the shop, just shop assistants to sell it to me. No different to Q whether it's a brand guest or regular presenter on hyperventilating acid! Allegedly!

my point being that they don't need diane gillman in the adverts then...

It was as if both shows was an end of lines sale as there was very few with a full range of sizes ..all very samey and nothing new of any interest ..in all two very boring shows !!

Whilst I agree to a point the said shop assistant wouldn't start and end every sentence with "Georgio wants.... Georgio says...Georgio knows ...." as if they were speaking to them on a daily basis.

It looked as though the biggest time slots were allocated to getting rid of the styles that they seem to be stuck with. The skintight jeans that came in several colours including lime green(!) and two leg lengths appeared to have an average rating of 2/5,wth reports of inconsistent fit and rubbishy quality. I bought
a pair of Diane Gilman jeans a couple of years ago and while they fitted nicely and I liked the colour, they were very thin and felt cheap. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but within a couple of months had worn into holes on the inside leg- shocking to say they were nearly £40.These days you can buy Levis for that and they last forever!

I dont care if the designers are present or not (although id like to see Yong Kim turn up )

The problem I have with the designers featured in adverts is it gives the impression they are going to be present.Especially the Lulu Guiness ad where she says "you also get me" Q use it as a selling point. This is proven by Q apologising whenever the designer cannot be present which is more often these days.

I wouldn't expect Armani to turn up in his shops but then there are no adverts implying he will.

I've thought for ages they need to change the LG add. "So happy to get my OBE" that was years ago.

What seemed like a good idea at the time ,getting the designers for every showing has run its course probably. Jetting all over the place must be tiring just to come and present a few shows. Maybe Q could turn it to their advantage and use the days they do show up as special events.
