Diamond Heart Bangle by Charlie Sterling Silver

They must be having a laugh with that price. Silver or silver plated with tiny grains of supposed diamonds inside some kind of perspex hearts strung along it. I bet it looks cheap and nasty in reality. I wouldn`t care but the bangle isn`t even solid, its hollowed out and the diamond grains look black on close up.

I just sent one like that from the Monet range to the charity shop. Twas from the 1980s. It was still in its Perspex case with the guarantee

£300 and it is not even gold? I suppose they might as well find a use for the leftover scraps of diamond, after sweeping them up off the sweatshop floor. I am sure some idiots who watch QVC, will fall for the 'Charlie' link.

They are definitely taking the p$$s. Those tiny melee diamonds are just chips and have no real value - and even if they are set in silver, rather than silver plate, this is a ridiculous price to pay.

How would anyone know if they are diamond chips or glass chips .No one is going to open it to test it for diamonds .They sure take us for fools .

Yes, they are strangely reticent at telling you what you need to know. Would this be done purposely, so that even if you record the hour they've not said anything to incriminate themselves? And as for asking the call centre when you ring in, well I'd place no reliance on that, as I know from past experience that they often haven't got a clue.

Your Monet would fetch a pretty price in some places - I've seen some of the bits and pieces I still have for four times the price I paid on some vintage jewellery sites.
