I agree with the above by Moth about IW and other comments on here. Currently they are heavily flogging a 3/4 sleeve drape dress in various colours for £29.99 (recent pick of the day was £19.99) - I succumbed. Others may have issues with it, but its by far the best dress I have ever bought ! and at my age that's saying something. It covers all the lumps but still looks good (although it could be a tad longer). First time I have EVER bought a dress in more than one colour. Q needs to up its game massively.

Me too Brissles, great quality, price and service and the only dress I've ever worn that actually suits me.

The Q top in question was being worn by a really slim model, she looked about a size 8 to me, and although the top looked the right size for her everywhere else, it was ruching up on her hips, probably because of the lump of Granny's old net curtain tacked on to the hem. I thought the IW swing tops didn't look at all bad for the money and some lovely pastel shades as well as basics such as beige and grey, although I think the pale pink sold out quickly, which didn't surprise me as it looked a really lovely shade on the model.

Ah yes, I didn't get in in time for that colour, you're right it was lovely.

I had been looking forward to the fashion weekend but I must have been mistaken, as I saw little fashion. Instead we have been treated to several hours of what look like dishrags with sleeves at eyewatering prices, with eyewatering P&P on top!

I must put in a good word for IW here. I know not everyone likes their clothing, but it's really good stuff. Don't let the low prices fool you into thinking it's rubbish as the overall quality and fit of their tops is excellent. I have bought a few recently, and still have spent less than on one of QVCs shabby offerings.

I had also been looking forward to a screen free of Richard ****** Jackson, but no, there he is scheduled in for another two hours of manure spreading on Sunday morning. No doubt gearing up for yet another TSV.

I agree Moth, I've said the same. I like viscose as most of their tops are and the price beggars the quality which may actually put some people off...............never mind though hey, leaves more for us who love their clothing. :mysmilie_3:

That dress has had sell out after sell out I would have bought it if it was longer ..at 65 I`m too old to be showing my knees! I think its too long to wear with leggings etc. Another small niggle it always IMO looks skin tight across the models bust and arms .... are they just not wearing the correct size? ( as we have seen quite often models are put in clothes at least a size too small ) Did you buy your high street size?

I bought the 20/22 (mainly to accommodate my upper arms and broad back) and its a great fit. I'm 5'7 and it just about hits the top knee area, so in an 'ideal world' it would be a couple of inches longer; but on anyone shorter it should be about right. I think the presenters are given 'sample' sizes to wear so its a bit hit and miss on their sizing. On one occasion I saw a butterfly clip gathering the back of the dress on one presenter.

The dress in question is a brilliant design concept and surprised no-one has come up with it before. It does what is says on the tin.

i like Marlawynne but I did not like or buy the tsv, I thought the trousers were awful, even on slim models they didn't look good, and let's be honest most models can get away with a potato sack and still look good - showing my age now, cause I can't remember when I last saw a potato sack - but I think you get my drift LoL

One of my pet hates this past 18 months have been what I perceive to be the utterly ridiculous looking harem pants - I've yet to see anyone look good in those - sorry if some of you have bought them, I just think they're awful, just as awful as stupid women who can't be bothered getting dressed by day or by night in clothes to go to a local shop whether it's a supermarket or a corner shop - i think it's disgusting and shows that they have no personal standards - and unlike my past comments, I make absolutely no apologies for this last comment. - shame on you women who go out in your jammies.

I am watching qvc on my computer just now, and looking at clothes when suddenly I had a brain wave - ladies, there's a reason why some of qvc's clothing lines are not available on the 'high street' LoL - think about it:mysmilie_8:

What I do find really 'chavvy', is young women who stand at the front door chatting, in their nightclothes, at about midday. Or go out in their PJs and slippers. Might be okay for some, not for me. Just my opinion. If you're going to do it, at least wear Carole Hochman, and Emu!:mysmilie_17:

Aha, Louise66 you must live very near me. Who wears their dressing gown in the street? Well, my neighbours for one.

Have never wanted to Emulate a shopping telly persona in my life and not going to start now, lolololol! :mysmilie_8:

Emulate hard sell, terrible dressing, so-so (being kind) "novels", living life on and for social media, creating cliques... and the queen bee behaviour? No, I don't think so. While there are positives (more professional than most presenters, does give out measurements promptly) these are sadly GREATLY out weighed by the negatives these days.

Who won this remarkable status vote? Jilly gets mine, always true to herself and doesn't get carried away with any nonsense, likeable presenter! :mysmilie_50:

Jilly used to annoy me, because it seemed like she was always phoning it in.

But now I think that her job's not her priority, and she's not using being on a shopping channel to make up for the lack of the showbiz career she feels she should have had (unlike others I could mention). But Jilly is professional and talks about the products, doesn't do the "big sell", isn't all "Memememememe", and doesn't smarm to the guests for 3/4 of her shifts.

Which is pretty much what you want from a salesperson.

Always liked Jilly, does her job very well! Like her professional on the level approach and pleasant manner with guests too! Some just go all gooey and OTT. You know who they are, lololololo! :mysmilie_8:

Jilly H would get my vote , imo to her being a qvc presenter is just a job, which she does very well. She hasn't changed over the years, she is still just a pleasant proficient sales person....

I wish I knew, but as I don't do facebook or other social media I'm none the wiser. Debbie actually mentioned that she'd been included in the vote on her blog, but didn't say if she'd won it. It was a bit "aw shucks" Catherine Huntley false modesty - which I found surprising as that's really not Debbie's usual schtick.

It looks exactly as though someone has cut a piece off the bottom of a net curtain and sewn it to the bottom of a plain top. The lace looks grimy to me, grey rather than white or cream, it's not an attractive pattern and looks really poor quality material. It also doesn't 'go' with the rest of the top at all, they would have done better leaving it as just a plain one-fabric top! Everyone's taste is different, but to me it really looks tacky, especially for that price. The way the two of them are gushing over it is pathetic. £37? You could get a nicer top in Primark for a fiver. I've just switched to IW, and they are doing a spring sale of 2 tops for £20 - and quite frankly these look far better quality and fit than this Q top.

Primark have some really nice summer tops in at the moment. They also have some strappy summer dresses in nice material for 8 to 12 pounds. Thinking of getting a couple for round the pool on holiday. At 67 I don't wear a swimsuit and they will was and dry quickly.

I have 2 of these, one long, one short. They dry in minutes and yet they weight nothing, don`t crease and are cool.
