Having put a good review up on QVC and given OH hers, we are now experiencing the same 2 problems as in most of the reviews.

Firstly, the lamp sags from where you want it to be, and won't stay put.

I've "cured" this with a bodge by wrapping some cling film around the balls.

Secondly, she finds it almost impossible to use the touch switch. It may be that her hands are much smaller than mine, but I am also starting to get trouble as well.

You have to be precisely fouching the almost invisible switch icon, otherwise nothing happens. It is extremely frustrating, and impossible when the lamp is mounted on the ball.

My review was a bit too early. And to cap it all, the headboard is too low to get the clip-on bracket and lamp into a usable position for reading in bed.

Having stopped the dropping down problem, and having fixed the light so it is ideal for reading in bed, and having found that the brightness is fine, OH has become so frustrated, no, ANGRY with trying to turn it on that she has decided she doesn't want it !!! So I am taking it back home.

Its probably going back to QVC wit a free return label as it's faulty.

Was a good idea, let down by poor implementation and not enough testing before selling.

I think you have to send both back even if it’s only your OH’s one that’s faulty. I ordered a set of 3 torches ages ago and one didn’t work. When I rang CS they said I had to send all 3 back. They sent a new set of 3 out to me (eventually) all of which worked thankfully.

Edit: having re-read your posts, strato, I’m guessing both are faulty.

Both have the switch problem. I can use it sometimes, it needs lots of attempts, OH FOUND IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE (caps lock sorry).

I'll just add hers to my torch collection. It's very good if you can turn it on!

So many Christmas trees now on Q. Kelly Hoppen, Alison Cork, the USA christmas people. Please someone bring back Mickey's Marching Band because I really want one. I had a lovely snowman band thingy with the snowmen bursting out of huts but it broke and went in the bin. I need something else, although I do have a christmas carousel from a long time ago so I suppose that will have to do.

I must not look, I must not look. I think I did see some on ebay from USA but the postage was massive, not to mention £70 plus for the item. I remember when I first saw them on Q so many years ago and I desperately wanted to buy but, alas, out of my price range then and probably now lol. If anyone here had them in the loft please think of me.

I don’t like Warm White, prefer bright/cool white. So it’s a No from me. Phew !

I've said for years I need a new tree and then I get my old tree out and dress it up, put the lights on and all my old friend baubles and then it's all done and I think - nah, I don't need anything except what I have.

My tree has become a wee bit crummy but when it's all done it looks "the dogs".
