I am astonished. Cherry Cavill, sister of Toby Cavill, is going to leave her job as Gemporia's Sales Manager. What is going on? If this is not a bad sign, I don't know what is....

They've been doing CBD for about 4 years now, so I suspect there's more to it than that.

I actually wonder what control these mid-level managers have any more. Its clear that Jake is running the show because the rise is dubious claims and poor faux shock face acting has become even more prevalent since he took over the reigns.

It's interesting that she's moving to JM - and Wayne is moving from JM to Gemporia. That would appear to be a 'swap'. One channel not performing as well as they'd hoped perhaps?

I suspect that the information on Companies House is 'automated', because the accounts deadline is showing as 31st December and it's now showing in 'red' (late) already. I doubt anyone at CH would have been working between Christmas and New Year.

Last year, their accounts were published online on 9th January - so I suspect that their accounts might have already been sent in, but they're sat in a pile or still stuck in the post.

I wouldn't be too alarmed by a delay of a week or two - but if their accounts still haven't been filed by February or March, that's when I'd be more concerned.

I agree that it will be more alarming if accounts not filed for a while,however accounts are filed on line so Christmas doesn't come In to it really

Zena going is hardly a surprise at this point (although can't see that this has been said anywhere) and is probably good for overall morale as she seemed to operate as though she thought she ran the place and could take everyone else's shifts when she could be bothered to turn up.
Cherry and Wayne swapping may simply be to better balance the workloads given Cherry is also involved in the CBD and it often appeared as though Wayne had plenty of free time at Jewellery Maker which wasn't being used productively (given he could often be seen in the studio or gallery without any real need).
If they actually want to make things more bearable they'd probably be better off giving control to Liam and Andy at HM who actually seem to have a bit more of a clue as to how to run things and balance sales with watchable TV.

From what I picked up watching a recent show she presented with Toby, her son is severely disabled & she herself has a number of health issues.

I imagine that these issues, coupled with the ever increasing pressures of her job are making life not too easy for her. Toby implied as much, in a subtle way, with some of his comments to her.

Therefore, could it just be as simple as, she has decided to listen to the people around her & slow down a bit by stepping away from the incessant pressure & increasing issues of the main Gemporia channel (& Dave “the expert in nothing” Troth’s droning marathons) and give herself the space to breathe & spend a bit more time looking after herself & her family.

If you file accounts online at 9pm on Friday, your status on Companies House doesn't update at 9pm on a Friday too. There's always a delay.

So it's still possible at this point that their accounts have been sent in on time.

Bearing in mind that they were so tight that they only knocked £2 off some stones in the 'biggest ever sale' on Gem Collector, I don't think Gemporia are going to put themselves in a position where they'll be fined for filing accounts late.

They seem to be desperate to get every penny from us these days - so I can't see them wanting to pay HMRC any penalties. The lowest fine for sending late accounts is £150.
