She worked in the theatre for many productions. Caroline has also worked in TV in such shows as "The Bill", "The Detectives", "The Brittas Empire", "Noel’s House Party", "Bad Girls", "Children in Need" and numerous commercials. In more recent years her talent transferred into the world of shopping television and has worked for Ideal World, Best Direct and guested on QVC.

I'm sure away from presenting she's a lovely lady but I'm afraid I turned the channel at super speed whenever she was on. Sorry but the look of shock at the price and the facial expressions were just not something I could watch. However, I wish her luck for the future in whatever she decides to do.

I wish Caroline all the best in her new venture whereever it may be. Although her voice could cut glass (and nerves) at 40 paces, I always thought her very articulate and pleasant.

I hadn't seen Caroline on GTV for a while except once for a special presentation for the item of the day recently. Perhaps I have just been tuning in at the wrong times for weeks at a time. I figured she was either on leave or on sabbatical.

There is a tinge of sadness that she is leaving Gems. However, given the new sales direction the company has been following recently, she may be moving on of her own volition, rather than necessity. She is a sensible lady, who maintains the delicate balance between the having fun and serious making money presenter's role. I have the impression that she takes great personal pride in her tv sales / presenting career. She has seemed less comfortable over the last 4-6 months, when the new Gemstv branding was rolled out.

I have preferred Caroline to some of the other female presenters. She is far from old but a little more mature than many of the young girlies on Gems. I am about the same age as Caroline and appreciate being pitched a piece of jewellery by somebody whose fingers etc. look more like my own, rather than my 20 year old daughters'.

I look forward to seeing her on my TV screen again in the near future. If the Rocks rumour is correct, they have been very shrewd to snap her up.

I am surprised that so many have stayed thus far. Caroline was always pleasant to listen to and although her voice could get a little shrill at times, she was imo by no means the worst offender on Gems. There are still a couple of lady presenters there now whose voices make me shudder!
MissM I think Barry moved with Steve from Gems on to Vinappris and now on to Rocks (as did Sherridan).
