Last week I noticed £29.98 had been taken out of my account. I waited for sometihing to arrive and nothing. I phoned customer service who could not find any details of this payment. I wrote to the credit control department and they phoned me this morning. They told me it was for the perfect formula 3rd drop. I told them I haven't received this item. The next bit shocked me.
They haven't got the stock but took the money anyway!
Do I want them to hold on to the money until it comes into stock, which they could not tell me when this will be. I now have to wait for them to refund me the money.
So anyone waiting for this third drop check your balance.

I have read of this happening before, it was on QVC Facebook page. Yes, it was auto delivery item which was delayed(hell when are they not), but QVC still took the payment anyway.

Knowingly taking money when you know you haven't got the stock has got to be against some law or regulation, surely?

I remember saying on another thread a few weeks ago about auto-delivery drops - QVC are doing so many they'll end up getting in a big mess. So it begins.

Can open. Worms everywhere.

Good grief - that is well dodgy. Then asking whether they can hang onto your money!

desperation! mind you its no different to taking weeks even moths to give you a refund long after you have returned something

Surely it isn't legal to do this? I thought your money couldn't be taken from your account for an item until it's been despatched?

That's how they get around it, because the money is reserved with Visa (card provider) they act daft and say they've not actually taken your money, but the fact that you can't touch your own money, they may as well have. The problem will be though, if after seven days the money doesn't drop back into your account and QVC do actually take your money and send you no goods and no intention of sending you anything, with no goods in sight, that would be against the law, it would then become fraud/theft.
