I realise I'm being a tad dense here, but what IS all this Back To You business ? I've heard it mentioned so many times, and have seen DF posing and preening on the edge of a bath, and exercising in some luxury flat with 2 dogs looking on, and apparently she has a BTY group ? er, what for ? and why ?

What exactly does "Back To You " mean ?

That advert is so funny, when she's on the edge of the bath in the same house they film a lot of the promos, sniffing her Elemis is (that's not a euphemism by the way. ) she's trying so hard to portray how beautiful the smell is, it actually looks like she's smelling poop. As for the "back to you" translated means it's a gimmick to flog everything to do with expensive gym equipment and diets.

Sorry if that offended you, I was just trying to equate DF sitting on the bath smelling the bottle as if she was smelling a really bad smell, because that's the face she pulls, to a bad smell wafting in in general called Debbie Flint.

The BTY group has caused ructions on the Q FB page. It's run by DF and one of her acolytes and on the Q page the group members are referred to as "Stepford wives". Apparently if you say anything negative or dare to question the iron rule of DF you're thrown out immediately, and loads of people have applied to join and have been rejected without having been given a reason. The belief is that DF doesn't like something they've said on the Q page so they're not allowed to join the group. There's a staunch core of members who suddenly all appear on the main Q FB page and post madly in defence of the group every time someone says anything bad about it. They won't here a word against their leader. What upsets folk on the main Q page is that a lot of the guests post to and hold chats on the BTY group, but because it's a closed group Q customers who aren't members think they're missing out and that DF shouldn't be allowed to shut customers out in favour of her cronies. Also DF tends to only quote tweets and questions from group members when she's on air which also upsets people. No idea what the group's supposed to be for - from what people who've been ejected have said it's just the DF Admiration Society.

Ahhh... the journey of self-discovery and self-realisation! Only possible if you buy the goodies promoted on the Back to You shows which should reappear soon on QVC (used to be 9pm on Monday evenings)... and extra possible if you buy Debbie's Til the Fat Lady Slims (up to version 3.0 now, I believe), and join the facebook group for all those wonderful tips and great support in your efforts to get back to you.

Getting back to you means joining in, losing weight, feeling better about yourself and spending money.

Yes, it has a strong whiff of BS about it. It is suitably vague so anything comes within its parameters. If they were doing a Green Seasons TSV, there would be some tenuous reason to promote it on the show... same with most other TSVs - they invariably seem to be on there if they are not sold out by that show... and if they are there will be OTOs the Bargain Hunter and normally a clearance item or two will apear.

It's hilarious when you think about it, if she really wanted to help people "get back to you" if she seriously cared then why not do it privately on one of her "web chats" take an hour out each Monday to discuss the meaning of Diet Chef and wobbly plastic sticks (now now, I mean the Bodyblade) but then again, she can't flog QVC a few grands worth of over priced diet food and exercise equipment then could she, she should hang her head in shame taking advantage like that, there's some gullible people out there.

I was just saying the same as you, the usual Q rubbish, I was saying how DF is trying to act like she really does want people to get "back to you" (whatever that means) when infact, she's just about the hard sell.

Once upon a time QVC had a social media page on facebook and then QVC management in their wisdom, allowed a presenter to fracture that page and send people in various directions to join this group or that.
Now which loon of a Manager would want their customers hidden behind closed doors as it were and in a place where QVC customer service cannot see or hear them or where Management cannot monitor what is being said or done ?
Any Manager with half a brain would want their customer base together, where they can be seen and heard, where customers encourage others to buy a certain product through recommendation, where its visibly seen that CS can and will sort out issues, where brand representatives can speak to the unwashed masses and that QVC have nothing to hide because the page is open to all and that they want it to be successful.
Nope, instead there is a facebook page policed in a way which stops people from posting and DF can boast that bodyblade sales have gone up by a few hundred and her fat lady is still fat book jumps from number 12 million in the best sellers list and is up by a couple of notches.
I cannot fathom QVC`s mentality, let alone DF`s mentality who`se job relies on sales and profits and if QVC or DF thinks the few hundred people who post in her groups are the bees knees of the customer base, then they need to think again.
