I'm too lazy to do it I'm afraid but I think Julia does Pilates and swears by it. The machines aren't cheap though.

I do online Pilates with no equipment and I love it. I once had an exercise machine that was just a nuisance and I’d never buy another bulky piece of kit. There are so many other ways of exercising. I’m not a fitness devotee by any stretch of the imagination but walking and a bit of Pilates keep me feeling ok.

Here we go again same old ‘new year new you’. If you want to keep fit and healthy you don’t have to wait till new year it is something you can start any time. And who has space for some of these huge machines. Like Toril said they end up being used as a clothes horse or in the shed outside.

I considered this in the past but resisted rising to the bait as I knew there's no way I'd use it, and it would just take up space at home until I got rid of it. I may tune in to see how Margarinejam is looking these days, but then I'm not sure I could face the sight of Julia, legs akimbo demonstrating it against a background of super fit models (of all genders of course) while she tells us it's less than the cost of a year's gym membership.
