Well I'll go to the top of our stairs.....

I never knew that was called a shark bite hem!

:giggle:

Antthony rubbish

Dear Lord, the tsv is nothing short of market stall tat no matter how much they pontificate about the design and fabric !

There is nothing 'chic' or classy about this whatsoever (what QVC fashion is ? I hear you ask), but this top can be seen in every Bon Marche, McKay and markets everywhere. Don't get me started on those flappy hip bits or I'll be here all night !!!!

(note to Debbie Flint: DO NOT wear thin white leggings EVER ! - on your chubby legs they are a No No !!)

Those white leggings look awful on Del Boy. I fully agree about the top being nothing special and I`ve seen similar on my local market for around £9.99.

Here`s 403 tops ! Many of them almost identical to the tsv , also many of them similar to his other tops, also boleros too. Free p and p on them all and if you register you get 10% off and loads of stuff in the sale. Sooooooooooo Anthony I`ve just heard you say you designed this style errrrr no you didn`t ....... half the clothing firms in the World designed this style too !

Having had a quick look at the reviews on his other t shirts they leave a lot to be desired, washout of main colour, cracking of the transfer. I will be saving my money and having a look in Asda where they have almost exactly the same for not much more than a fiver.
And that so called waistcoat looked like my floor washing rag!!

No way will I pay any sort of money to make my hips look even bigger, let alone QVC prices.

20 years ago when I was pregnant and wearing Mr Akimbo's T shirts the hem hung in this shape! I think the problem is the length. I have a couple of lagenlook tops which are longer, thigh-length, more like a v short mini dress which look good over narrow jeans or leggings - like the old hankie hem dresses. (looks better than it sounds honest). To work, the uneven hem needs to start below the widest part (hips or thighs) otherwise it looks as though a massive tummy is distorting the hemline. I've said the same about the high/low hemmed dresses; that you don't want to look like a fat lass in a frock where a big belly is lifting the front hem by a few inches!

Antthony seems a lovely bloke but I suspect it's the QVC buyers who pressure the "designers" to churn out this kind of cheap top for a TSV to maximise their profits. Anne Dawson is on now in the grey TSV with a massive red sparkly flower on her tum, it's not good!

He seems like a nice enough guy but I sent for a top, using web measurements which should have been roomy enough but in fact it was really tight and clingy so was never tempted again. Even if it had fitted it would have been way overpriced.

First we were told that tops with the front and back going down into a V shape would make hips look smaller and now we are being told the same with the points moved onto the hips Debby said that it will make people look at the material and not your hips I beg to differ it will just draw attention to even small hips never mind the ones I`m trying to hide !!
I really wish they would give us some credit for knowing a little about fashion styles and what shape should wear what!! ...and having a memory too where we are given conflicting advice !!

Perhaps they buy into this look in the States where there are millions more larger hipped women, who are under the misconception that the nether regions are disguised with more fabric.

I have a tummy, bum and thighs, BUT BUT BUT longer length clothing that covers the bum and tum makes me look 3 times the size ! I DO wish designers and presenters would wake up to this fact. Soooo I shorten all my tops to cut just below the belly button, and the difference is staggering. I don't look half as big, and all fellow forumites who suffer with these problem areas, just try it - turn up the bottom half of a long top and sit it just on the hips and see the difference it makes.

I like their clothes, I have a couple of tops and a maxi dress. They are reasonably priced too.

We have a Roman Originals shop not far from us and I always find a bargain in their sales.

I'm not buying any of the handkerchief style clothes as they will date so badly. I did have a lovely handkerchief skirt in the 1970s.
