I don't know if anybody else noticed this but the lady demonstrating these products has obviously had work done to her face as it doesn't move at all, what she's saying is your face can look like mine if you use these products.....think I will give it a miss then and save some money !!!!!

When she was on last time she said she would consider surgery 'sometime in the future' and I thought 'great advert for the products' there...

I've just said in another thread this is one of the only brands that i've tried and seen a visible difference to my skin.
I have to agree though the guest did look like she'd had a bit of work done.

Are you meaning Michelle the Alpha h founder as she is the only female guest I have seen on these shows?

At least she is honest - nothing out of a pot or jar is the answer to eternal youth as some other brands and beauty experts would have you believe!

Not saying surgery/botox whatever is the answer either as thats a personal choice and i cannot comment on how she looks as im not watching but alpha-h works for me and i have always like michelle in the past and appreciate her presenting style.

I like Michelle and absolutely love Alpha H it's really kicked my skin into shape where elemis has failed. I know she has always talked about suffering with really bad skin up until her 30's and I have read often that a plus side (doesn't feel like it to me At the moment but I live in hope) that if you've had spotty oily acne prone skin that this skin will age better...... I hope so cos I could really do with a positive out of still having acne in my 30's. My mum suffered badly with her skin and has fantastic skin at 58 so I'm hoping!!!

I'm loving the Alpha-H cleanser at the moment - using it twice daily. Also like the rejuvenating cream which I've started using at night as I find my LG doesn't go on brilliantly with it underneath. Also use Liquid Gold. I know that my skin is not going to change dramatically but it does feel nice and smooth. I have loads of acne scars and while they will never disappear I just feel nice and clean when I use Alpha-H.

Of course, I'm very fickle with products so it might be something a few months down the line.

imo this is the best skincare qvc do. no allergic reactions no spots and super skin

I'm really like Alpha H (mixed in which Simple cleansing products and spf day cream). I alternate nights with the liquid gold and rejuvenating cream and the texture of my skin is much improved. I was concerned about the alcohol in the liquid gold but it hasn't had an adverse effects (i.e., no tightness and subsequent break outs as has happened with clinique clarifying(!) toner for example).

I've tried a few of the QVC brands plus plenty more of the premium high st ones and normally half way down a product I'm itching for it to run out so I can try something else. Not with Alpha H - don't want the product to run out and have repurchased (which is rare for me).

You can see that the guest being MD has not got the perfect skin, neither does she say she has. However it's pretty dam good for what she has lived with. I have lived with huge spots and acne troubles and after using AH my skin is smoother, less engorged pores and even in colour. Lucky you to those that have the perfect complexion and never suffered a day's grief with their skin. Poof and fluff probably suits you.

threads like this almost always make me smile. Surely nobody believes that a cream or potion is going to be the be all and end all against age???????

i guess you are right. Most people live with fairly normal skins so don't understand those looking for some miracle cream that might change or improve their skins. A bow to any product on QVC that improves issues one may have with their skin. To those that have perfect skin, never under estimate the longing WE have for perfect, flawless looking skin. x

Ditto, the above. This is the only range I've tried from QVC - or the - whisper it- High St, having managed to survive to nearly 50, by using soap and water/baby wipes/cleansing wipes etc. and just lobbing on a bit of moisturiser when and if I remembered.
Didn't have bad skin, (probably helped that i have never been a sun worshipper or smoker) but decided it was time I made a bit of an effort, and Alpha H just seemed to appeal to me. Have definitely seen an improvement, just looks fresher and feels smoother. And I love the tingle, makes me think it's doing something.
Having said all that, if money is tight, then I'll do without and it's back to the Nivea visage.

I strongly believe in the Ayurvedic diet. Worth taking half an hour to read one of the many websites devoted to this practice.

Yes, I think I will. Diet has to play a large part of how our skin looks from the outside.
It's just so hard finding a balance for us girls these day's. It's this time of the night that
I get time alone without children and husband to engage in girlie conversation and upskill myself on what's happening in the beauty world. :envy:

The idea is we are a certain body type. I've copy and pasted this bit for you:

The first step towards eating for your Ayurvedic constitution is to find out what your constitutional type or dosha is. If you haven't done so already, please take this quiz.

Once you know what your Ayurvedic dosha is, you can balance it by learning what foods support you and what foods can further aggravate your dosha.

The following general guidelines can help you get started. An Ayurvedic physician can help you further tailor your diet towards your individual constitutional type.

In Ayurveda, the five elements of space, air, earth, fire and water make up everything in the universe including the human body. These elements come together to create three different constitutional types or doshas known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

If air and space were the predominant energies present during your birth then you are Vata in nature, if water and earth were predominant, you are Kapha and if fire and water were predominant then you are Pitta.

Knowing your dosha can help you understand what activities, foods, and lifestyle elements can support and nurture your health and what can cause imbalance.

The most accurate way of learning your constitution is to visit an Ayurvedic doctor. He or she can conduct a physical examination including pulse assessment and can tell you what your dosha is and provide specific recommendations. Many people are a combination of two doshas.

You will be able to find reading matter without visiting a specialist. Hope this helps.

Thank you for this. I've spent a couple of mins doing the quiz and I can't believe how many of my characteristics fall under Kapha. I'm going to give it a go, nothing to lose.
