Hi guys

I had been using Decleor with fairly good results on my spot prone, congested skin. Before christmas it went a bit haywire and i haven't been able to get it under control since.

I know people seem to really rate Alpha H and i have been reading reviews etc but its a bit different from the usual cleanse, tone, moisturise routine and was wondering where to start? Which cleanser have people found best (triple action i think would suit my skin) and which moisturiser? Do people also use liquid gold & microcleanse? What results have you seen?
Le Q seems to be the cheapest place i have found that stocks it and i know there is a TSV this weekend - would this be suitable place to start??

Thanks sooo much in advance, i look like a don't know what at the moment :(

yes it is this is a very good starter kit. you will run out of the cleanser first but the liquid gold and rejuvinating cream will last around 3-4 months.

as long as you are not allergic to glycolics you will be allright.

I would alternate balm essential (balm neroli now) and liquid gold on an evening. that always sorts my troubles out.

I do exactly the same as you! Although around the time of the month my skin gets a bit oily so i use the alpha-h rejeuvinating cream as a night cream as its too rich during the day!

I find the microcleanse brilliant too but I only use it once a week (at night) and i also use the liquid gold smoothing and perfecting mask once a week (A great kit is Item no 223809)

I have problems with acne flare-ups, which usually only medication will sort out. My last one was made worse by using the Pro collagen marine cream from the xmas Elemis TSV. I am currently using Alpha H Balancing Cleanser and Balancing Moisturiser during the day and alternating the moisturiser with the Liquid Gold at night. I also use Microcleanse a couple of times a week which really makes my skin feels super-clean. So far so good. I wouldn't say my skin is as smooth as they promise and my acne scars haven't faded in the slightest yet BUT my spots are definitely reduced and that is an absolute godsend to me. The Balancing Moisturiser is unfortunately not available in any of the kits on QVC yet so I had to buy it at full price (about £35) but I fully intended to take the risk and send it back if it didn't work. I'm really pleased with the results though. There are very few products on QVC for spotty skin and the ones they do have such as Decleors Balm Essential, ABC Tea Tree wash, SBC's Propolis and Aloe Vera Gel, Elemis SOS Cream, I've tried without success. If you have spots I recommend trying Alpha H but do careful if you have very sensitive skin, as it does sting a bit at first. You may need to build it up gradually by maybe just using once a day at first. Hope this helps!

I really sympathise with all of you. I had terrible acne right through my teens and twenties. Then I discovered expensive skin care in my thirties which kept the spots under control but not the oil. However, there is a plus side to this. Oily skin doesn't tend to age so badly. Now in my late forties, my skin is better than ever. It is unlined and behaves itself now. I can use Elemis and Decleor without any problems. Forget the supermarket variety of 'paintstrippers' for acne as they really are too harsh. If you find a better quality brand that works for you, then stick to it. The self-esteem and confidence that comes with clear skin, far outweighs the cost. I had a terrible time and was so unhappy with my face that anything that improves it was well worth it.

I find Decleor ylang ylang oil is amazing on oily skin if you've not tried it.
