Ali Young looking good this evening

She's had her hair cut and styled - roots minimised, hair in lovely condition.
She's wearing strong colour this evening - a black top with a bright red waistcoat. I may be a lone voice, but I think she's looking better than she has in several weeks. I really thought she was looking quite poorly, but despite still going for a too pale (in my opinion) foundation, she seems to have her mojo back.

Okay, sorry going to rain on the parade.

The foundation was far too pale and drained the life out of her, and yet again the shimmer landing stripes so shiny I needed sunglasses.

Fringe is a change, but the roots are still really bad. For someone who raves about and tells others to use the WOW pick of the month, she never uses it herself.

Her lipstick was too harsh a red, yes it matched the waistcoat but not in a good way. Agree her foundation was way too pale, (especially as she wore red and black, very harsh colours) heavy and shiny. She needs to use the Perfecter Fusion Styler more often, gave her hair weight.

That`s more than can be said on some days when she turns up wearing her Land Girl overalls and her makeup looks like my 6 year old`s grand daughter when she`s playing dress up.

I thought she looked better too, it must be tricky for her because she is so pale and she completely protects her face from the sun so she must have no natural colour whatsoever, and then with the studio light, it must be difficult to make herself look good with make up. Being very pale myself I find less make up looks better and trowelling it on is an absolute no-no. I would imagine AY is the same, she probably looks much better in real life with just a light natural coverage, but on TV she would look completely washed out, so she wears a heavy make up which doesn't do her any favours.

I remember seeing a clip of her from years ago when she had long honey blonde hair and glasses and she was wearing a beauty therapy uniform and she looked much better, but then I suppose 15 years ago we all looked much better 15 years ago.

I thought she did look better than in previous weeks, but agree, her foundation is too pale - she has sooo many fake tans at her disposal too.
I think the screen freezing helped her appearance too, it seemed to give her a face lift :mysmilie_14:

I must say I thought she looked terrible last night, her foundation was just flat and one colour and she tells us about how Laura geller has coloured pigments in it, I really don't like her dress sense, I remember a few weeks ago she looked like Andy pandy with her blue and white striped dungarees.
I must say though that I thought that Lisa the benefit girl looked nice last night, more natural and her clothes were smarter as she usually looks really scruffy

I flicked over purely because of seeing this thread lol Umm i didnt think she looked very good tbh, The outfit was ok but she really needs to do something with her hair!! I think she looks better with glasses on as it hides her eye bags.:mysmilie_515:

AY is looking better this afternoon.
Her foundation has more colour and she has apparently been listening to comments and will be doing her roots live on air !
However, her outfit is dull and boring, really doesn't suit her.
I suppose 2 out of 3 is probably good progress

What's in the water at QVC - Jill Franks is looking really good this evening as well! Skin is looking plumper and less lined. Hair is looking more luxuriant (as much as Jill's babyfine hair ever can. Liking the 1970s flick thing she's done with her fringe.

On the skin front - I wonder if she let Tom loose on her skin? After all that sunshine she's been indulging in, it would have been the perfect antidote.

Now if only she'd lose her stash of porchester square for the nails and choose something a little, just a little, more vibrant...

Ali Young earlier clearly needs to get her colours done then stock up on her colours... the khaki top did nothing for her.

Yes she does. Flicked over in an ad break(My Cat From Hell on the Animal Planet), and her foundation was a better shade for her. The lipstick a deep shade but suited her so much better.

Lost marks for:

Roots still need redone

Trying to Contour but its not blended and just looks like two dark areas. Oh and she needs a bright blush to off set the two strips of dark contour.

B, for improving, still needs more effort.

I think AY is at that stage where she uses clothes as a security blanket. Dowdy, enveloping, dull and very high necked.
