Thanks again for keeping us updated
I really like the last spoke serum but none left in my local AldiI went to Aldi today, there were loads of everything from November, including of the hair dryers, so I bought one, and won't be going on Sunday.

I was tempted Andi, but I did a clear up this week, or was it the last, and binned a few Aldi skincare, I have not finished one Aldi jar or a bottle. Today I bought a lip oil, it's very shiny, I only swatched it so far. It was not reduced in price. I'm more likely to use Aldi cosmetics I think rather than their skincare. I was keen on that serum but said no. I was surprised to see the beauty so organised on the shelves today, it's normally in the metal cages.Wow, Marina. You get the prize for the best stocked Aldi! I would have been all over that little lot and I see a lot of it was reduced as well! I am tempted to have a walk down to mine tomorrow if the forecast storm is not too awful.
That shows restraint. You're right, though, and maybe I could be stronger than I think as I am trying not to buy things just to add to my “stock” myself. I would have to get a couple of the La Soie serums for my friend (who already instructed me to pick it up for her if I see it here) and maybe one or two of the Marine things.I was tempted Andi, but I did a clear up this week, or was it the last, and binned a few Aldi skincare, I have not finished one Aldi jar or a bottle. Thanks Andi!We were talking about possible Aldi perfumes for Valentine’s and they are advertising three men’s and three women’s from Thursday next week. I believe they’ve all been around before?

I just wanted to say that my thoughts on the Classic Italia perfume have changed. I must have had something else on which confused my nose first time (well, I had earlier sprayed all the men’s fragrances in Aldi because someone had opened them) but it’s still strange because now I’ve worn the Classic Italia again, I smell completely different notes, not just a bit different. Within 10 minutes of spraying it on this morning, I got really strong incense and now that's the prevailing smell and I can’t detect the fresher, fruitier notes I thought it had before. I think it’s incense but I was reminded of Shay & Blue Black’s Club Leather and that doesn’t seem to have incense, according to their description. In any case, I would have called it a summer scent, now I’d say it’s a cosy winter smell. I don’t dislike it but I’m a bit disappointed.
Moral of the story: my nose is fickle, I’d make a lousy perfumier and you shouldn’t take recommendations from me!
Oh, thank you! I take it they were talking about Aldi perfumes generally, not just that Victoria Beckham range? The Classic Italia I was lamenting has been baffling me. Admittedly, I didn’t test it properly first time, but I’ve never had such a change of opinion on a perfume in so short a time and I’m so frustrated, especially as my friend with very similar tastes is crazy about it! I thought it was lovely from the notes and a quick sniff, but actually then applying properly and living with it, I started smelling a different thing altogether, like I’d opened two different bottles. I didn’t know perfumes needing to mature was a thing but now you’ve said that, the idea that it hasn’t had time to mature (or develop/settle) like some fine wines and spirits, makes sense to me. I’m excited to see if and how it “matures”!I've read the other day, that because the dupes come straight from the factory, they don't have enough time to mature, and are best left for around six months or longer, and then try again.
I think it was said about dupes in general, and the discussion was about one of Aldi dupes, but not Classic Italia, one of the earlier ones, I can't now recall. I hope this trick works, but don't hold me to this! Have you tried the Lidl perfumes?Oh, thank you! I take it they were talking about Aldi perfumes generally, not just that Victoria Beckham range? I didn't buy in Lidl last time because I have them all from previous years and was concerned about repackaging. The ones I have I really like except a couple of the sweet ones, and my favourite one is being the J’Adore dupe.Great, thanks.
Yes, I have one of the Lidl ones - the copy of Coco Mademoiselle from a while back, which is very good. I have also tried most of the current ones on the stand near the tills but haven’t bought more as I either don’t love the perfumes they are copies of or I already have them. Definitely keeping an eye on those, though. I go in Lidl 2-4 times a week. What do you think of them?
