I wouldn't mind having the magic bullet express. I've had a regular magic bullet blender for years and whilst it really isn't any good as a serious bit of kit in the kitchen, for someone like me who isn't the main cook in the house, it's fabulous! I make smoothies, shakes, grind granulated sugar down into caster/icing, make omelettes, scrambled eggs, pancake batter, breadcrumbs, grind coffee beans, even made peanut butter in it and so much more! One of my favourite things I do is bung in a lump of cheese and a small piece of chilli, grind it down then bung it in the microwave for less than a minute and pour it over tortilla chips.
OH bought one years back after seeing the informercial and of course he was really disappointed when it reduced a small onion into an uneven pulp, and made him a "salsa" that was more like a muddy looking soup - that was it for him and he refused to use it anymore. Even now when he hears me using it, he shouts "are you using that useless thing again?"! The 10 seconds or less tagline, I agree is complete fiction, you do have to pulse the ingredients quite a lot, and take it off the base and give it a bit of a shake to redistribute the contents - but I've really got the hang of it and I wouldn't be without it!
We have got a food processor with a myriad of blades and it's such a big bit of kit to get out and set up, I tend not to bother using it, this one looks much more simple and compact and I can see myself using it a lot - He would go ape if I bought it, so it would have to be hidden..so I won't - I'm getting too old for this kind of hassle lol!
