If the KR shears have the plastic clip to keep the handles together AVOID!

I bought several sets as gifts, and the clips have all failed. One was even broken in the box before use!

The ones with the metal clips are superb, they've obviously just tried to cut costs at the expense of quality.

I was going to post that I had both plastic and metal clips and had no problems with either despite daily use, but I've just had a look and these are different again so I'll defer to your insider knowledge. My plastic clip is further down and looks sturdier. I love them and would probably got more, but I shall look for the metal clip ones elsewhere, thanks.

The plastic itself doesn't break, the whole clip falls apart as the hinge pin falls out
