£35 for a box of brownies

Made at the kitchen table by Brett & one or two others, locally sourced ingredients, as good as the ones you remember granny making, stuffed to the crust... Then three years ago it all started to go wrong; different reasons given to explain why they had stopped trading & then the company was liquidated. This had a real impact on the businesses that actually made the products, including one in Cornwall that was their biggest supplier.

Replaced with Wilfred,their is a dream review on the QVC website for his crumble,unless QVC have taken it down,less than flattering reminds me of that lieutenant pigeon song mouldy old dough.

"These arrived last week,I have eaten one,went to heat another tonight ,luckily it flipped over when pitting into a dish, there were mould spores on the bottom, I checked the other 6 and found the same on each one,I also bought the pies but they are going in the bin, cant take a chance. Will never buy from this company again.
QVC are kindly refunding for the fruit pies.

Appalling. The only thing I did wonder about was if this person had put them into an airtight container when they were delivered. He/she doesn't say when the first one was eaten & the combination of fruit juice & oily coconut does sound like a mixture that could encourage mould.

Reading the reviews the over riding comments are that a lot seem to mention the items were salty.

I bought pies many moons ago from QVC. They were a tragedy. Even the cheap supermarket pies that cost pence were out of this world in comparison. Rubbish pastry, teeny tiny pies with a teaspoon of filling including the so called sauce. These companies come on QVC promising a gourmet feast but its obvious its a case of the Empires New Clothes
