    Sonic jewellery cleaner

I love my sonic cleaner but for silver there's a cheaper method. Get a container and add some really hot water, a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda, salt and some tin foil. Add your silver and leave for a minute or so. You should see it bubbling and it brings the silver up bright and shiny!

Lock and Lock...a bit of a problem

I don't have any more ideas to help your problem but thought I'd say that I bought a Lock & Lock set within the last 18 months or so that was specially designed for this problem. They said that it was designed not to stain or rather that it was more resistant to staining. The set looks slightly...

Ali Y on Leighton Denny 5-6pm yesterday

You don't say to whom you are referring but for the record, I haven't left any nasty negative comments about any presenter. ( I reserve the right to leave a negative one though!) I certainly haven't called anyone a 'childcatcher' or tw*t...........

Ali Y on Leighton Denny 5-6pm yesterday

"No.............probably not, but maybe next time you're nasty about one of them maybe think first that they might see what you're saying or think how you'd feel if those comments were made about you. If they annoy you so much, switch the TV off!" I agree with Sazza - there will be positive and...

Does this happen to you re feather beds?

My featherbed is a number of years old now, very heavy and doesn't move an inch! I bought my son a new one for Christmas and read a review where the buyer says she uses it as a heavy duvet. I couldn't get my head around this as there is absolutely no way you could do this with mine. When my...

Hi Gizzy, welcome! How about - considered purchase (adjective) Bloomin' expensive diamonique (proper noun) CZ by another name but must never be referred to as such on air don't buy this if you're under 40, 30 etc.... (phrase) Aren't we your friends? We're not really here to sell, sell...

    Leighton Denny crystal nail file

I used to use a M & S crystal file until I dropped and broke it. I replaced it with a Leighton Denny file and didn't find any difference between the two. I love my crystal file and definitely feel that it helps my nails, although I always find at this time of year that they peel more than...

    When you ring Customer Services.....

I think Re cycle's post was helpful and enlightening. In my own area of work, we don't have flags for customers although there can be various historical information and notes stored to assist with enquiries. We are very careful of anything that we note on a customer's record however due to data...

Who put Claire on Charlie Bears.....??

LOL, I agree about Claire's style and she's not normally my cup of tea, yet......... .... somehow, I thought she was absolutely suited to present Charlie Bears. :mysmilie_845:

    Clarisonic - love it

Yes, it's the classic version and comes with 3 heads - the normal, sensitive and the delicate.

    Ice Grips

I use the 'get a grips', currently in stock at QVC and these have seen me through a good few winters. I live in Scotland, at the top of a hill and have to walk down it to get to the train station. These have been lifesavers for me...

    Clarisonic - love it

I have thread veins on my face which I was very worried could be made worse by using the Clarisonic. I have to be very careful and avoid exfoliation products for this reason. BE mineral foundation is also a no no for me as it irritates my skin although I'm not sure whether these things qualify...

    Worst QVC xmas gift

I've got one of these and it's great. Well, the light doesn't do much but the epilator works well!

    Clarisonic at a Q!

I've used the Clarasonic cleanser (the large bottle) and it was fine on my skin. Mind you, I'm not particularly prone to breakouts so not sure how much help that is! I usually use A'kin and it's been great with that too. I put this on my credit card and thought , knowing me, I won't see a...

    Steam press TSV

Forgot to say 'Eric's mum', in response to the 'finish' on shirts, I think it's absolutely fine. My sister's hubby used to be in the navy though and still insists on ironing his own work shirts, so I've told her that it may not be good enough for him!

    Steam press TSV

I put off buying a steam press as I was told by someone that they were only really good for bedlinen. Some months ago though I read lots of positive reviews on here and people said they wouldn't be without it. As the QVC one at that time had bad reviews, I ended up buying a 2nd hand Domena from...

    Hmn...more than slightly misleading...

I bookmark a particular beauty product that I order occasionally and quite often it goes on 'waitlist', then disappears from the site although I can view it from my bookmark. It has twice reappeared some months later with a new item number and a new higher price, so that explains what they're up...

    Julia R

I have to say that Julia is my favourite presenter (even if she isn't a 'small'!) I find myself relaxing when she is on as she delivers the information needed without doing a hard sell. She's so easy to listen to unlike so many of the other presenters. I too thought she looked different and...

    Michael DiCesare Haircare • Sunday 14 Feb • 2pm

I have to say I was really disappointed with his products. I didn't try the shampoos but did try the Liquifix which left my hair a sticky mess.

    Anne Dawson

I'm Scottish but I'm afraid I can't stand her accent. She's one I definitely have to switch off, sorry Anne. :mysmilie_411::
