And that is not how Economy 7 works. It is 7 hours of cheap-rate overnight electricity. Comes on at 12:30/1:30am for 7 hours overnight. Used for electric hot water immersion heaters and overnight storage heaters.

I play online backgammon. Just wondering if Gammon is a reference to gammon, winning before opponent has borne off any of their pieces. (Gammon is a term used in some regions to refer to a winning position in backgammon, where the opponent has not borne off any pieces by the time the winner...

Didn't I read somewhere that James Blunt said he'd change his name to anything his fans voted for if his reissued album made it to #1 (or top 10?) in the album charts?! 😀 Good on you James Bloaty McBoatface Blunty! @merryone @SUPERCOOLWILLOW

Wouldn't say I 'love' it, but yes, on occasion, when in the mood, or hungry and need filling or to sit down and have a cuppa. Reasonable value saver menu, like a cheese burger double, although increased like all, and still decent tea/coffee and one of best value prices on the high street. Also...

Saw that. Small square plates. Main problem was the price, £25 + p&p (£3 or £4). Got the bigger TJC/(IW) homesmart larger grill plates for just over £10 (discount codes!) with free p&p...

The shovel is to use for the charcoal brickettes you buy as a last minute Xmas gift down the all night petrol station along with a box of Roses. (I did the shovel to stick you under the patio joke last time it was on!)

I remember the 25th anniversary of McD's in UK and Big Macs were £1. Remember buying 4 or 5 at a time in the City and having one, or two, and saving others in fridge for dinner, or next day, etc. You can get tired of anything if you have it often enough in a short space of time! 🍔🐡😘🤗🤢

The McD burgers used to be on a high-temp conveyor grill. Sounds like you're saying they microwave them or just warm up defrost on a grill. Take-away prices: local chippy wants £2.80 for a small chips. Most take aways want £2.50 minimum for fried basket chips. A burger now costs £3.50 - £5+. A...

Wasn't it Richard Bacon on an episode of WILTY who pointed out that a McD's beef pattie goes from frozen to cooked in 12 seconds! (He was dumped by his girlfriend at the till he was serving her at as a student job - True).

Reminds me of those types of people who live off past deeds & glories. I remember a music teacher who had played keyboards on a Survivor tour of Canada in his youth and as part of a band. Boy did we know it, and despite being a music teacher in a school (think Greg Davies as Dan in Man Down)...

Am I going mad or wasn't the Xenta soundbar launched at £39.99 with MM Man of Sound when we discussed it at the time? Now being flogged for £79?! Don't remember him/them saying it was a special launch price. Maybe, dare I say it, they actually did get the price wrong before?

Tbh, I think their strategy is not much different to designer fashion and accessory brands available on the high street. Create a false caché that these are exquisite, designed by a 'name', have an upmarket store selling these in Bond/Regent St/Rodeo Drive at high rnd overblown proces, then sell...

Thanks for all that @Duke of Cheese , very helpful, ta. Presumably you're selling more valuable things requiring Special Delivery signature proof of receipt. RM 2nd class even pays loss compensation up to £20 I think. Used it to return a £20 item to TJC. Cheaper than their Tracked 48 £3.99...
