The news is probably less depressing than suffering an evening of the DT's.

I don't watch the late night shows. Latest 'ever' was midnight 30. But, this just came to mind. Instead of mr monotone, during the night hours, they could show runs of the old DVD documentaries that they show snippits of on shows. That way, they might get people interested in the channel again...

And what do you hear on the channel? You can get it 'where it comes from', but it's a lot more expensive that buying it from us (paraphrase).

If he carries on the way he does, the only fan he'll have is the one under the desk to keep him from overheating when he's on a roll. If not that one, himself. I remember Larimar being the in-thing back in the day. And it's so rare they keep finding it decades later.

That'd make it even rarer. Coz by then, you'd have forgotten you bought it and by then it'd be an antique. And you know they are rare ;)
