A 50th birthday, a decade marker, very important. I hope to mark such an occasion you bought them a birthday gift from IW ... you're spoilt for choice. I'd imagine you probably bought them that hoop exercise thingy with the weight that you swing around. A very nice, high quality gift.

As we've said before, in this day and age, their price comparison guff will only work on those who don't have access to the Internet or are too lazy to check online for more realistic price comparisons. Or (mainly older) folk who maybe have a computer but don't know about doing price...

Surely they're made of the finest faux first layer bonded leather though?

Hopped on last night, Mike M with Alex selling 2 x goose down pillows for £24.99. Mike exclaims to Alex 'the question is, how the heck are we doing two of these for £24.99???' Not that amazing. B&Q selling 2 for £21.99 free p&p (comparable quality). Or what about Wayfair, 2 for £18.99 or 4...

Furniture stores can be bad for it. 'Don't worry, I'll leave you to browse' and they then proceed to stalk you around the store, peeking out from behind displays waiting to pounce!

I hopped on last night and after a min or so I was just about to hop back to proper telly when I saw something flash up bottom right of the screen. It looked like the Microsoft Teams message box that appears when someone messages you on Teams. I looked at it again and sure enough it was a...

I would assert there's a big difference between 'national tv' and tv that is broadcast nationally ;)

I suppose it's the nature of this type of sales but yes, the hype nearly always exceeds the reality. Although a different channel, it was like the pre launch of Shop on TV. It was going to be amazing according to those involved in the venture, new exciting varied products. Did that happen...

I have to take this back given I've just seen him mention the forum and Muttley on the YT feed! I suppose we are fans ... just very critical ones ;)

He just opens his mouth and lets any old length of time come out. Ah yes viewer, I remember starting in this crazy industry we call shopping tv back in 1968. I was the first to bring mobile phones and air fryers to the masses back in the early 70s ...

I have my doubts it's him tbh.

QVC equates to Waitrose/Sainsbury's. IW equates to Poundland. They know this, heck it's maybe even their strategy. Low cost items sold (hopefully for them) at volume. They know their target market ;)

I have a similar story tbh. I had a bit of money and bought a close friend a Swan & Edgar watch. Every time they see me, I get a slap across the face :(

Can I suggest you BACK OFF!!! I'll have you know I bought 50 x Swan & Edgar watches from IW, granted it was their previous incarnation however I don't doubt ALL the £100 - £500 watches they sell should and could be on sale for HUNDREDS more, in some cases THOUSANDS, got it?!? Anyway I must...

Sums him up succinctly! One of my biggest annoyances with him is when he says 'yours for ...' and mentions the cost of the first flexi payment only, often conveniently not mentioning the remaining payments. Strictly speaking, the product isn't 'yours' if you only pay the first flexi. As you...
