what IS suarti twittering on about?

Hubby and I both think a few ranges with silver have gone up across the board, some a little others fairly significantly. Love her jewellery but have avoided the higher end pieces because of the price increase. I have avoided buying anything from QVC as we gave it up for Lent. Was nice so we are...

Julia Roberts: Good for QVC or Not?

    Apparently so. :doh::giggle:

Veronese Popcorn Link ring - Sold out on Anniversary Show?

I recorded last night's (Wednesday's overnight) review of Veronese's Anniversary shows and spotted a Popcorn link ring in all sizes available. It supposedly went limited stock and I believe sold out during the Anniversary show that aired back on 13 or 14 April. The reason I remember it is...

    Rubbish spouted by so-called "experts"

Maybe they meant something like platinum is a very dense material and therefore much heavier than white gold. For example, a man's diamond wedding band made from platinum will be about 1/3 heavier than one made from 18kt white gold. They probably needed to be clearer in ther explanation.

Shop from QVC for your Royal Wedding party

How cute and charming but over my budget for teapots. When Woolworth's was still open I would find a cute one now and again for £5. Although this does come with a tea cosy. :sun:

    true meaning of easter ?

A friend was reading me bits of an article about telly selling and how the approach has been changed over time to increase sales. The one that stuck with me was that the presenters changed from saying "The operators are waiting to take your call" to "The phone lines are busy". (and this is...

    true meaning of easter ?

Good point ... I just say something like "since when did we start giving Easter gifts? I guess I didn't get the memo."

    true meaning of easter ?

I don't mind the advertising of chocolate eggs, bunnies, etc. for Easter but giving gifts at Easter?? No thanks. Using it as an excuse to market most items is offensive and I wonder if QVC and other companies taking this approach would insult other religions in such a way ... I seriously doubt...

Review rejected again - can we believe the integrity of the review system?

I agree with what you say Akimbo but the last paragraph is also a personal thing with me. All capitals can even be a bit hard to read as is lack of punctution and basic grammar. Perhaps the independent judges should highlight questionable areas of text with yellow so that the reviewer can know...

Introduction Prices - Do they go up? YES!

Yeah, yeah, yeah to quote someone famous  They probably do that in Italy but here? I'm more mad at myself for not returning the bracelet as it felt lightweight, sounded tinny and was overall a let down. The byzantine was alright ... lightweight compared to gold but still substantive...

Introduction Prices - Do they go up? YES!

I like to watch the Veronese shows and have bought an item now and again. On a couple of the recent shows 2 bracelets were presented at the beginning of two or more of the shows. They were called Byzantine and Bismark, they tend to be shown together ... really like them both a lot. I thought...

Best Idea for an inexpensive Easter gift yet

Well to be fair it was Ginetta who started it with the little bear, saying how she saw it backstage and fell in love with it. She draped a Veronese gemset beaded bracelet around it like a necklace and said that she'd love to receive this as an Easter gift, telling men (in particular) that they...

DeviliShh Desserts - Did anyone buy this?

Well on the last day of delivery hubby's order finally made it with 5 minutes to spare. I suppose the guy in the red van could deliver beyond 5.00pm. Anyway hubby's happy. This went beyond the 3-5 days delivery promise of QVC. Not mad just irritated. :mysmilie_1:

DeviliShh Desserts - Did anyone buy this?

Hubby bought two of these products last Monday but on the account it has said "in process" with no new emails to say it's going to be delivered. Called CS and was told some forms would be sent out as today is the last delivery day for these items. Has anyone ordered any of DeviliShh's Desserts...

    Pipa's new hair colour..

Oh I like Pipa's other colour better even though I wouldn't wear the two tone look. She can, she gets away with it. This colour is drab, boring and makes her look old. It doesn't really do anything for her.:down::dull:

    Mission statement.

If Argos does do a live shopping channel, maybe QVC will see it as a possible threat and take a look at making some realistic and attractive changes. :wonder:

    April Fool's Day Price, surely?

L'una or looney? But what about this? Is it solid silver? It's nearly a monthly mortage payment for me, should I get one for each wrist as it's so incredibly comfortable, so chic, so timeless, so oval shaped, it's an investment and I'll have it forever. :phone...

    Alpha H... No thanks !

When I first tried Alpha H for troubled angry outbreaks that I couldn't do anything with, there was a discovery collection set available with 4-5 items included. I didn't notice it under the Alpha range at the moment but the 4-piece fresh start collection at a 'try me price' would probably do...

Do ethical considerations influence your buying from QVC?

I try and evaluate each purchase or at least a range or line, whether it is a purchase from QVC, the supermarket, a high street shop, etc. But with the marketplace being so "global" and little traceable information available as to true orgin of manufacure or production, who the workers are and...

    What is going on

Maybe it's because LE recently had her 15th anniversary of selling on QVC and QVC decided to highlight that by having an evening with Liz.:glass:
