    caster sugar diamonds

think the description of "frosty" diamonds says it all really :cheeky:

    Another VERY BAD price comparison

You should register this issue as a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority - you can put the complaint in on line and they always follow it up with you. If they they think the complaint can be more appropriately handled by another organisation they will pass it on to them. I have...

    colour change genstones

The most important thing is that you love your gem. Alexandrite, a variety of chrysoberyl is the most famous colour change. The russian alexandrite is superb but today, there is almost no production of russian material and almost all of the original russian stones are in museums or private...

    Poor Quality Diamonds?

I know what you mean - I remember buying a 2ct diamond cluster which was awful and went straight back as essentially the diamonds were yellow and heavily included but anyway ............ This is something that rears its head from time to time. From experience In 9k gems tend to use I1/2 G or...

    Milano charms

You are not alone is seeing Gems (both channels) sell pieces higher in their TV auctions than their web prices. I have seen this happen several times. So anyone who has access to a computer while watching I would strongly suggest you check the online price before bidding. Am not sure if...

    Confused

certainly do wish "trading standards had a quick peep now and again" , "to keep a lid on all these mad exaggerated claims" Amazed by the claim that fronts the Gem Collector site - allegedly "the widest gem collection in the world" and "the most amazing prices anywhere"

    I Don't Ask For Much...

I laughed because in the five minutes after reading your entry iclaudipuss I watched Lynn Jinks "auction" a piece of jewellery for £6 more than it can be purchased for on Gems online "boutique", and I also turned off the lovely Alan because of the vile music and then I found the Gems mission...

    Just wondering

Sarah Coutts latest entry on facebook "As many of you know, I commute to the Midlands from London every day for Gems Xtra but after a year it is taking it's toll. Therefore, sadly, I have decided to leave my lovely family at Rocks/Gems TV and pursue other opportunities closer to home. However I...

    why 99p???

Maybe they think jewellery buyers are stupid and think 99p is a lot less than £1. Though I have not long had it explained to me that the 99p phenomenon still swings shoppers and can boost sales by 10-15% so in other words psychological manipulation.

Jewellery only expected to last 6 months?

so a thumbs up for Gems  glad to hear they get it right at least occasionally (now if only they would tell me what was happening with a ring I returned.....). Chuffed for you MB anyway

Jewellery only expected to last 6 months?

Mummybear, at the very least I would telephone and raise the issue with their customer service manager, a very charming Sabeel Hussain. If they don't know the problems they have an excuse not to serve their customers properly.

Anyone like The New Gemtv Website...

Going off the new web site now it appears that you can no longer request online auctions on the jewellery part of the Gems web site. Also not impressed when watching gems yesterday to see the presenter sell several pieces at a higher price than the static price on gems.tv. No doubt customers...

Anyone like The New Gemtv Website...

In many ways I much prefer the news website - big plus you can buy items straight off the web without having to go to auction and I have noted several pieces on the web at the same price or a few pounds cheaper than they sell for in the so called "genuine falling auctions". The online auctions...

    Rocks TV request Facility

Argh the frustration - yet again I have tried to request an item for auction to be met with a brick wall. All I want to do is have a look and probably buy BPVJ03 a rather nice looking yellow sapphire ring. Strangely when I don't log on it is available and when I do log on it disappears into...

    On Hold?

If something's on hold it usually means there is a payment problem of some kind - happened to me when some IT portal broke down between my bank and Rocks .......... It was resolved very quickly and I felt so much better after yelling at my bank

    unacceptable time for processing refunds

It appears the refund I sent direct to the Manager of the Rocks Customer Services Section has been dealt with so maybe that is the way to go - refunds direct to Manager of CS or if you're really irritated to Sarah or Steve Bennett. No problem with the quote Argeybargey glad it brought some...

    unacceptable time for processing refunds

There is a similar thread running on the Gems forum http://forum.shoppingtelly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24584 and I remain totally disenchanted with how my returns are handled by Rocks despite the assurances of John Bennett in the Gems thread. No email notifications of receipt - sporadic...

    Unacceptable Time to Process Returns

As if by magic from my email yesterday saying that my return would take about 13 days another email today saying that the money will be back in my account within the next 3 days. While I appreciate that and John Bennett taking the time to reply I look forward to the endeavours of Rocks/Gems...

    Unacceptable Time to Process Returns

While it might be taking 14 days for Rocks to process returns the absurdity of the returns process at Rocks/Gems hit me in the face today. I received an automated email from Rocks telling me that they had received my return on (order number) . Amazed as I had sent nothing back this week I...

    "new Rocks TV set"

just when you thought it couldn't get worse the glass wall now has a red laminate - can't make my mine up whether it makes me think of some gorfest, internal organs or makes me think of a certain area of Amsterdam - dire and not helped by the endless "bargains" ..........
