    What happened to my crown?

Surely those who bid on it would have to be told the outcome if they wanted to know?. I thought there were rules and regs in place for things like this, like when you enter a competiton or raffle. Appreciate someone who places a winning bid may not want their name revealed but I simply can't...

Liqui-Fix ... is it any good??

I have fine and coarse hair, some very fine , some quite coarse and, as well, mine is a bit wavy and a bit straight. Nightmare. I tried Liquidfix years ago but found it a bit crunchy.

    Slow cooker TSV

To be fair, it's free economy delivery at Amazon (which in my opinion is fine and just as fast as QVC). However, guaranteed next day delivery at Amazon is £7.99, Ist class is £3.30 (to arrive within 2 days).

great for making rice pudding in.

    Stocking Fillers

What annoys me is that 'stocking fillers' were perfectly adequate main presents a few years ago. You could wrap up a few bath cubes or maybe a tin of talc and the recipient would be delighted.

    Liz Earle TSV 20/10/12

I noticed when I was in M&S the other day that they have signs up "Gifting" in the Christmas section so I think this new verb is here to stay.

    Can't take it any more!

Marks and Spencer may not take money until the point of despatch but did you know they will accept more orders than they have stock to meet and then give them not to who ordered first but to who has requested their delivery first. I found this out recently when I ordered a TV, obviously...

    Black Magic Paint?

Have no idea whether it is any good but you can buy it as 'Omnicote' on ebay (they say it's sold on ideal world as black magic')

    Xmas 'gifting' QVC style

This morning I saw a woman selling a travel-style brand bag, £38 . She said it would be perfect if you needed to get a 'little add-on' present for someone and you could perhaps also add some make-up in the pocket of the bag (that would add another £10-£20). Well if that's a little add-on present...

In the Salon with SBC - TSV 27/09/12

Has anyone else had success (or failure) using the propolis gel on eczema?. I'm tempted to buy just to try it for this. Thanks

Mum! I'm off to uni... Don't forget to get me that shopping trolley!

Trollies are very practical but because someone's telling us they're for grannies people don't use them. Ugg type boots are really old style granny boots but because someone says they're fashionable the same people who wouldn't be seen dead with a trolley buy them and think they look cool.

    Cook's Essentials Thursday 13 September

And of course you don't need to colour code 'Lock n' Lock (now a bad word) as they're transparent. Agree with other poster, I just use pyrex bowl and have a universal vent lid I pop on top. Presenter says 'oh dear, you need an oven glove to get your normal bowls out, what a nuisance', same...

What is the point of some reviews???

Found it! yes, hilarious, thanks for sharing.

    Dalton - eyebrows

Just looked at this product again and was disgusted to see it's gone up over £8 since I bought it a few weeks ago (it wasn't as if it was on an introductory price when i bought it!) Don't know how well it would work on a particulary sparse area but one reviewer wrote: Bought as a brow...

    Dalton - eyebrows

Have you considered the 'mimic root hair colour' which comes in black, this can be used on eyebrows with success (it comes with a brush for eyebrows)and some of the QVC reviewers have said it's better than things like browtech?

    TouchBack

I wanted to try that but it was out of stock when i looked. I'm using one from QVC instead called 'mimic' and it's ok, the reviews for it are pretty good. I also use the hair sprinkle stuff and that covers my wide parting very well.

    Lesson learnt...

Find your comments about groups very interesting as I'm very much going through an anti-group phase myself, or more accurately realised i'm not suited to groups. Could talk about that for ages! I too used QVC a lot at a time when my life was diificult, it was novel and offered company and the...

The Aah Bra Has It's Knockers....

Debbie Greenwood was on earlier and she was spouting the new QVC spiel on these like the others have been. So don't get fooled into thinkibng how wonderful the presenters are for their honest approach. Clearly they're spoonfed their lines.
