    Simon

I work in a busy store and when we re-opened after the first lock down we were given cleaning and hygiene training, the advice we received was not to wear latex gloves because you are less likely to feel the need to sanitise them as you would sanitise and wash bare hands. The thinking was that...

E-Mail: Is my style in a rut!

I admit for the last 18 months my fashion has been in a rut, either black jeans, black shoes and uniform top for work or blue jeans, black trainers and assorted tee shirts/jumpers for about the house/walking the dog because for the past 18 months that's all I've done!

    Elemis TSV 19/09/21

I'm not a Keeley fan, I find her manner patronising and she seems the type that would snigger about a client once they had left the spa. I have never rated Elemis products I think they are too perfumed and don't deliver the results a 'premium' (expensive) brand should, I've had better results...

    I’m finding it

Personally I would be really happy if everybody paid with a card, then I wouldn't have to sit in the office at the end of a long hard day counting money that is probably contaminated with all sorts of nasty stuff, and I'd go home thirty minutes earlier, the shop wouldn't be a target for...

    Absolutely

In my company there is an area manager that starts every email 'Hi guys' It makes me so annoyed that my manager has banned me from replying to her emails in case I take the opportunity to let her know that I'm not and never have been a guy.

I was nauseated by Micael's orgasmic 'ooh yeahs' when I watched the launch and I felt so sad for the BA who was probably very pretty before she had the Botox and fillers. By the way I thought the bag was ugly, impractical and very over-priced, I don't like bags that gape at the sides and bags...

    Possible Intervention Needed 🤪

In my store the teenagers spend lots of money on tat imported from china, the latest craze is fidget toys, all plastic crap, all imported from China and we can't keep it in stock. Today I had three girls aged about 16 spend £20 each on it.

I've always thought it should be enshrined in consumer law that anyone selling skin care should declare if they have had any 'work' done be it fillers or surgery. It is at best disingenuous to extoll the benefits of some gloop with a face full of botox and implying that the taught youthful...

    Gender fluid

I was listening to my local radio station while driving in to work the other day. One of the guests was head of midwifery in the local city hospital who was explaining the safety of having a Covid vaccination while pregnant but all through the interview she used the phrase 'pregnant people'...

When I cleaned a holiday cottage on the Sandringham Estate some of the sheets had Royal Yacht Britannia embroidered in one corner. They were crisp white 100% linen and were huge, much bigger than super king bed size. A couple of them were repaired with the finest darning that was a testament...

How do you get sucked in?

In my store we do multibuys, adult paperbacks are £2 each or 3 for £5 and kids picture books are £2 each, 3 for £5 or 10 for £10. Some years ago the company tried doing them all at £2 each with no multibuy offer and sales fell off the cliff!

The Huntley - where has she gone ?

Tat peddlars only have to put up with Simon (looks like he's embalmed) Wilson once in a while, sales assistants on the shop floor put up with worse than he comes out with every day with verbal and physical abuse of shop staff rising rapidly.

The Huntley - where has she gone ?

I'm 64 and a half, I work on average 35 hours a week in a store where I'm on my feet for at least 8 hours a day plus when at work I'm up and down a flight of stairs at least 30 times a day often carrying boxes of books. My hobby is trawling through charity shops and car boot sales and I walk my...
